Put the widest tires they advertised I can put on. Measures dead on 45mm. The calipers say I have 5.7mm at the closest point of the frame to the tires.
I don’t think I would go any wider. On hard, dry gravel maybe, but even then probably not.
Is your Helix new? I ask because I have a GR300 from 2022 or so and I can fit a 50mm rear. The fork would fit 50mm but not with enough clearance for my tastes.
I did run 650bx2.1″ on this bike for a while.

It won’t work with the stock Lynskey fork but I am running 2 inch conti racekings on my lysnkey with a whisky fork.

Absolutely not.
How do the Helix and Helix GR compare?
