Hello everyone!

This route goes from Paris, France then passes through Bern, Switzerland before going through Milan, Florence, and Rome, Italy. I cobbled this together on the Komoot website and am unsure how safe are travelled this route is. Additionally, I've never done a tour in Europe, as I'm a young American who's yet to have the privilege of going abroad. I have been able to do, on average, about 110 km a day on my last tour which was from Seattle, Washington to San Jose, California. This trip appears to be 1700 km in length with an elevation of 14000 m total with most of that centralized in the alps.

That all being said, any advice about the respective countries, where to camp and restock, what to anticipate, and any other advice would prove useful especially from anyone who's done something similar. Thank you in advance.

  1. Well it’s a lot of Italy, which is rarely a good sign if safety is what you’re looking for. Worst place to ride a bike in Western Europe apart from Dolomites and Tuscany.
