I'm near Toronto (Canada). Looking to buy a functional bike to attach a toddler trailer too and go for casual rides with my almost 2 year old. This one is being sold for $45. I haven't checked in person yet but seller claimed all parts are in working order. What do you think, should I go for it?
TIA!

Looks like a BSO, probably from a department store. I wouldn’t pay any amount of dollars for it, personally, but for $45 it might work for you.
Perfectly fine for family stuff
Don’t expect much more from it than that
You won’t find a decent functioning bicycle for $45
I’d suggest that you take it for a spin and if it does indeed work well, buy it
Most important thing to get right on a bike is the sizing. This is on the smaller side, maybe around 14″ or so. If you get the size right, you can have a lot of fun on a bike even if it’s a piece of crap.
If this is what your budget is and it fits you well, I wouldn’t dismiss it completely. For pulling a trailer, you’d probably want to get some new tyres for it, and check the brakes and gears are working correctly.
Alternatively, see if you have any second hand bike shops or bicycle cooperatives nearby, they can help you find the right size if you’re not sure what you’re looking for and it can be a good way to get some local advice.

$10 . might as well buy a walmart bike. $50 dollar tops if it was a 80s90s mtb with proper shimano components.
