Hello! On the market for a hybrid bike to get some exercise in. Would be my first time having a bike in about 20 years (I’m 29) and just looking for something to keep me more active. Any advice on which one I should go for? They are both priced around the same.
Anything helps! Thanks in advance.

My first bike as an adult was a Trek Verve 2 and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it. It’s a pleasure to ride, and I lost about 20lbs in 2 months without really thinking about it. I’ve ridden the tires off of it and it’s very capable. You can keep a speed of 11-13mph pretty easily. The roads are pretty crappy in Oklahoma so I appreciate having a little extra suspension from the shocks in the forks. There is a trade off going up steep hills because the forks absorb some of your power when you’re peddling hard. I could also be ascending incorrectly. I have a Trek Verve 3+ now for most of my rides, but I still like to hop on my Verve 2 because I enjoy it.
Just to make sure you’re getting a decent deal, I paid about $180 for mine used a few years ago, if that helps with negotiating with your seller.
I cannot testify for the other bike, but I’m a fan of Trek bikes, so it should take care of you as well.
Welcome back to cycling! It was one of the best decisions I ever made for my physical and mental health.
