Pyrenees Tour 2025, Day 2. Le Mans to Limoges.

Pyrenees Tour day 2, Le Mans to Limoges, winding our way through rural France, towards the Pyrenees. On my Benelli TRK702X.

Well, good morning. Day two for me, day three for the lads. We’re just leaving Lal and heading down to Le Moge. We just had to pull over cuz uh Steve Brwell’s got a puncher just been plugged. So, we should be back on the road on that. seems to be holding pressure. Off we go. That road’s a bit slippy still. Right, let’s try again, shall we? I’ve had to drop the waterproof jacket off a bit, so getting a tad warm. I think we managed a mile in total before we had to stop. But uh that’s the way it is. Lose here we come then. I don’t know if you can see on the left we got a little tramway running up through that uh grass there. It’s a novel idea, isn’t it? Should get some beautiful countryside today. We did have some great roads yesterday. Had a little bit of a road closure on the main drag which sent us around the twisties which was very nice and hopefully I’ve got it. It looks like we’ve come across some sort of road closure. Well, this little detour has just taken us past the racetrack over there on the right. See if we can go past the entrance. I don’t know. We’re taking a right up here down towards the mar I think they said. But that was the racer. Couldn’t see a lot. Steve’s tire seems to be holding out nicely. I’ve got a feeling we’re on a bit of the circuit now. See the anco barriers? I can take that off the box. I’ve ridden on them on circuit or part of it. Imagine the speeds they come down through here. 50 mph limit though. We’re going to go straight through here towards Taurus and there’s a round uh petal station in about 15 miles. So, we’ll uh stop there and top up. That’ll be us for the day. Oh, I’ve dropped me waterproof jacket around me waist and uh Sville, we’re heading straight into the rain. We were just saying, look at that chaff up there in that car. He’s pulled right over to the right to let us all pass. You wouldn’t get that at home, would you? Nice bends. Sun is trying to poke its uh head out. But yeah, I wish this weather would make its mind up. We’re just taking a little detour to get fuel now. Nice twisty road this one. Up through the woods. Still raining. Definitely going to put the uh top back on when we stop. Says we should be there at about half 2 this afternoon. So that’s not too bad. Right, fuel stop it is. This will take a while now. Right after I’ve stopped everyone’s back on track now back on again on the same way point we get 37,000 we have got 2 hours 7 minutes be 100 balls. Come on. You Right, new battery. Change me camera angle again. Hopefully that’s back where it should be now. Another beautiful village with just empty shops. Right, off we go. You ready, boys? Oops. Watch your soil. He was hanging around, was he? All right, quick sip and another bite to eat. 1 hour 39 minutes. Looking forward to a nice beer tonight. Don’t know where we’ll be eating. Hopefully the digs will be better tonight. I mean, you can’t expect much for budget, can you? I mean, it was €60 for the night. €50, sorry. And that’s loop three. So you can’t complain really. Well, we’re in another lovely town. If I could just read the road signs, I could tell you where we were. Big old church out there. Yeah. 27° and sunny. Further south we go, the warmer it gets. That’s what we want. Try and get a view over the bridge if we can. So, we’re heading towards Poier, I suppose. Oh, that’s beautiful. Get on. Get on. Let Mulong. Got a great V top there. On a nice break there of water. We have got 40 minutes to go. phone packed up. The power bank ran out of charge draining me battery. So, I’ve got it plugged into me USBC. I’m hoping the phone’s okay. I’ll find out when we get uh back or to get to the digs. I think we’re in an ibis tonight in Leoo. Mini batter is running low cuz I didn’t put on bloody charge. Should last 11 hours, but I don’t know why it’s not. I’ll whack everything on just tonight. Double check everything. Make sure it’s all right. God, Royy’s loud. Ah, turn them down. Roy singing beats boys. It’s not good for your ears. Right, we’re all off. We’re going to find a little now. Stock up some food and snacks and then off to the hotel. We’re about 20 minutes away, I think. Think I think the mic’s still working. Yeah, we’re about 25 minutes away now. I’m not on the go. should be there about 6:00. Everyone’s grouped up nicely. Been a good day’s riding to be fair.
