Practically perfect in every way. Rob, 100 professional victories for Tatty Pagacha, the most of any rider in the current Pelaton. And he reached that century as the fourth youngest rider in history to make that milestone. His 18th stage win at the Tour to France. He is tilting at a fourth overall title. Man, that man is incredible, Adam. He’s not bad, is he? Let’s say he’s not bad. We saw it coming from a long way out today. I think you know there was two sides of this race where I was questioning at the end when they started to line up. It looked like there was an attack coming and I started to question is he nervous about the TT wanted to take time maybe test the legs. He did his first attack and then he just sat back and waited for the sprint. He knew what he had in a tank and on a finish like that against these guys. He’s beaten Vanderpole in a sprint like this before. So I’m sure he was fully confident to take that stage again as he did. But yeah, just classic Tad. I mean what can you say about the man? He’s just the the most perfect rider, best rider probably ever within cycling. There is so much to pick apart in this run into the finish, which is even more exciting than just Ty Pagatcha’s win. But we do need to dwell on him a little moment longer, Robbie, because there is a reason that this man has been the favorite coming into this race to win a fourth overall title. Well, you look what he’s done over the last couple of seasons and the way he’s set goals and just gone and ticked them off one by one. He makes it look easy. We know it’s not. You saw how deep he had to go on that last climb to to make Yonas Vinegard explode, but then he exploded himself. It was just fascinating to watch. We just see that that graphic of how long it’s taken certain riders to get the 100 stage wins. Teddy Pagacha slotting in as the fourth youngest. Mark Cavendish was now the fifth. But the names above him that did it quicker. Freddy Martins, Eddie Merks, and Bees Shoni. It’s a pretty impressive list to be a part of to get a hundred that quickly. It certainly is and no doubt this will lead to all conversations of will Tatty Pagatra now beat the record that Mark Cavendish set last year. To put it into context, um I was just looking back through my notes that I made before this tour to France. Coming into the tour, Tatty had won 17 stages in five tours. Cavendish had won 23 stages in five tours. It’s a reminder just how difficult it is to get to that number. But to get to 18 stages within these six tours to France, to get to 100 wins, he is quite frankly one of the greatest in history. That is unquestionable now. And he’s he’s inching his way as Anita Wine to clenching that title, that honorary title all by himself. For me, he’s the greatest. I think for sure. I think when you look at what he’s doing across all different terrains all year round, he’s just an absolute killer. He’s a weapon. He is though. He is like he’s just you look at how he’s done that and you mentioned the stage wins how Mark Cambridge has got 35. This guy’s also won two of them. Three grand tours. Two three of flipping out three and a Jurro. It’s not even just that and then it’s the classics along with it. It’s the monuments along with that in the world champions jersey. He’s just incredible. I mean, we always talk about who’s the best rider in the world ever. And for me, like you said, for me, he’s the best by far in this generation of cyclists where you don’t really have a rider that can do that and to be able to succeed in doing that. Just no one like him. Listen, we’re getting a little bit of glimpses in our screens around the studio here of the excitement on the ground today after that finish. So, I want to cross over to Matt Stevens who is there for us and has been able to soak some of that atmosphere up. at an absolutely superb victory there from Typog the defending champion in the world championships bands the yellow jersey mate Matthew Vanderol led out but in the end he just faded just before the line and victory goes to the defending champion here absolutely superb scenes Oscar onley just there what a superb ride but the young Brit as well to stay with the lead is just kicking off let’s see who else we can actually find Matthew Vanderort just there draped over his bicycle. The effort these riders have gone so so deep today. What a defense of the jersey though. Have to go back to countback. Kevin Bula in the white jersey there as well has gone so so deeply all of the riders. That was like a classic. It really was at the end. Such an explosive finale. This race has been absolutely thrilling so far. But just look at how deep these riders have gone. Absolutely phenomenal. He is doing that David Atenburgh, isn’t he? Where he’s where he’s bringing us into the lion’s enclosure, pointing out the poor animal, the pure beasts are collapsed on the floor all around him. He’s exuberant with his energy. They’re completely drained. Robbie, he’s the most energetic of all the pack there. But it doesn’t take a sport scientist to work out that those guys aren’t quite yet in a position to have a few words with Matt. So well played to him for showing us the carnage around him. Yeah, absolutely. Well, we can see that Matt Vanderpool is once again upright. That is good. Uh game meets game. Congratulating Tad Pagata. We did see Oscar on the floor there, the British writer. He finished fourth on the stage today. Phenomenal display from him given the names that are right up there contesting the finish that we saw.

  1. I can not hear this anymore "He is the greatest" !!! Please stop it! Why ar you need this stuff of expressions. The greatest is still by far Eddy Merckx (just look at the numbers: over 500 wins – Pogacar will never reach this!, 11 Grand Tours, 19 Monuments etc.). Nowbody knows, what will come the next years – keep calm and wait for the end! – The Problem is: we forget about the old pictures and impresions and overrating the present. Keep clear in mind….
