I can get this for 3k. Is it worth the price? I don’t need electronic shifters or disc brakes. I plan on doing a flatter course when I pick one for my Ironman.
Nice to have one of these posts where you already are working with a bike fitter, lol. In terms of value it’s hard to say, with high value bikes like this they can be pretty low turnover, and a lot of variability in spec and supply/demand in different markets. So it’s not like there’s any hard and fast rules about the exact prices things can go for. If it’s what you need, for a price you’re willing to pay then that can be all you need to know. Are you likely to find a significantly better deal? Probably not hugely. Are you going to be able to get most/all of your money back down the road if you wanted to sell it? Probably.

In my market, that would be way overpriced. I’m looking at a BMC Timemachine with electronic shifting and a similar 80mm/disc setup for 1.5k right now. I’d wait for a better deal unless your local market is really slow.
But also, TT/tri bike pricing seems to be all over the place, with some rich dudes just wanting to get rid of their bikes after finishing their Ironman, and some ‘I know what I have’ types putting them up for close to MSRP.
