I was cleaning out debris from inside the clamp and pulled my seatpost up a bit, I noticed a few scratches so ended up pulling the entire thing out. It's covered in scratches which seem pretty minor but there are also chips in the outer layer. I guess the scratches came from adjusting it while I was trying to find a comfortable height. I haven't had this bike long and have been pretty gentle with it, I applied the paste it came with and torqued it as recommended.

Does this need to be replaced and is it likely Canyon will cover it? thanks
