    I live in a little liberal coastal bubble. But it sucks that so many cyclists outside of this bubble have to deal with people like this (in the US at least).

      I’m not American but I remember reading an essay from a guy who said he experienced something similar. He started open carrying, with the holster on his lower back to be extra visible and this kind of thing stopped happening to him. Crazy place you people live in.

      Thankfully the worst I experienced so far were honks and a flying bottle. Although I have a conspiracy theory that norwegian RVs are getting paid to run over cyclist.

      Nothing stopped him from being polite, but he probably assumes everyone (including him) will be on their phone, not looking, and not driving responsible enough to be able to stop before their line of sight ends, or have enough space to react when a semi blocks view of you until last second.

      Being 6’7 and 260lbs I simply tell these guys to get out and do something about it. They usually slink down into their seat and drive away 😅

      These are the people that are afraid of their own shadow, don’t forget that. I live in the south and this is 9/10 of the men around here. All loud, crass, intellectually incompetent, and drowning in debt with their big ass trucks they drive to the suburbs and their 9-5 at Walmart lol.

      They’re losers. I don’t like being hateful but when it comes at you, don’t be afraid to stand your ground. Not only will they back down every time like a scared little deer but they’ll be a lot less likely to pull this sort of dumb ass senseless hostility in the future, because, as i said, they’re scared little losers.
