  1. Cassette is probably easiest.

    Chainrings can be harder to source.

    Another option is a new crankset with the lower tooth count chainrings.

    In your position I would ask a bike shop you trust to swap out my chainset for this compact set from spa cycles. Hopefully this means you can leave your cassette and derailleurs etc on the bike.

    Your current chainset looks quite big (maybe 53/39?) So getting the eg 44/28 combination would be a big improvement for you.

    You may need to get a different bottom bracket, though (spa recommend a 119 mm one for this chainset).
