I recently received a BMC Teammachine R, but the carbon cockpit has a visible damage around the clamping area (see attached image).
My questions:
1. Can this be repaired professionally? If so, about how much would it cost in the US?
2. Is it possible to fix this myself (DIY)? If yes, what materials and steps would be needed?
3. Are there trusted carbon repair shops you recommend near California?
I’d appreciate any insight from people who’ve dealt with carbon damage on cockpits or integrated bars. Thanks!

I think you may want to highlight the exact part that you are worried about. When I look at the photograph, I’m not sure what you mean.
Do you mean the small chip? It looks like paint only.
