Most legal systems do not require an accused to tell only the truth in order to assist to their sentencing. Quite the opposite: an accused is allowed to lie! It‘s upon prosecution to establish the truth.
*Ottawa police told the family that the driver said she was at a stop sign or slowing rolling up to one when the cyclist came from behind her on the left side and cut in front of her at the intersection at the last minute.*
LOL that’s where the wheels come off. I don’t think there’s anyone on a bike passes cars on the left so that they can make a right at a stop.
