My brand new brakes broke and I think I am missing a piece but I am confused. It seems I would need something to set the straddle cable hanger ”front enough” but have no idea how it was originally.
If I can figure out I could maybe replace it somehow but want to make sure it works as good as possible. (Also I will go out and look for the piece again so any tips of what I am looking for are welcome)
Anyone owns or knows how Oddysey Evo 2.5 brakes look like installed?

You’re missing a barrel adjuster
Brother, check out some YT vids on ‘V-Brake setup’.
There’s an independent cable which strings between both brake arms and ‘hangs’ in that other piece. Your main lever cable the terminates into that hanger piece.
Cable shouldn’t slide through that last brake mount
Barrel adjuster should go in the cable guide. Brake mount kit should have one provided.
