Heat. Heat. [Music] Welcome back to another ride around with a little different this week heading up sort of the backside going to go up to the two boys sort of stone structures and then from there head up to Winter Hill and then I’ve got a cool little track that I found the other day that I’m going to head down as well. [Applause] Right, [Applause] we’re on the uh start of the climb up to two boys, two men, whatever the hell it’s called. It’s a bit of a rocky, treacherous climb. I uh almost crashed out the other week coming back down here. Went into a rock that was uh hidden by overgrown grass on the trail. And if I do this right puncher, it will be a miracle cuz my punch perk is absolutely trash. Just riding in a fun mode today, but putting a good bit of effort in. Turbo all the way. [Applause] Bit of a rock bed. Presume 44’s come over here in that. Come on. No. No. No. Got bounced off. [ __ ] fell over. Come on. Don’t know if you caught that on camera. I just uh me getting back up. I slid. So, after some advice here, if anyone’s watching this far into the video is uh as I’ve been losing more weight and been doing more adventurous uh sort of rides, turning the uh the power down on the bike, put more effort in myself for that. Today I’ve got it turned up, but I’m giving max effort to where I’ve got now is I’m absolutely crashing out. So I started this ride feeling fine. Just had me tea and that give it half an hour and then uh set off up here. But I can feel myself flacking really bad. I don’t know. Should I be fueling up more the day before and then heavier on the day or or what? Bit of advice would be lovely. Right. So, this is a really fun part coming down. Don’t know what it’s going to be like going up cuz I keep bottoming out on my pedals. Think I might need to turn it to a 29 29. Give myself some more clearance. The type of riding I do, I’m eating [ __ ] all the time. Come on. [Music] This is probably the most techy thing I’ve tried to ride yet. I think I’m getting chucked. Literally chucked all over the place here. Come on, big boulder. Come on. Come on. I’m out. Come. Oh no. It did me. It did me. [ __ ] [ __ ] stuck. Come. It is uh super slippy if you hit any of the uh the grass. Really bad. But we’re just about getting to the Oh, parallel out again. Just about to get to the two statues, monoliths, whatever the [ __ ] they are. Somebody let me know. Can we speak through it wrong here? And here we are. Go. Two lads it’s called. And it’s a cane. Just over there is Riverton Pike. So, actually higher than the pike right now. And we’re going to go a little bit higher and head over to the mast down this path. Catch you over there. Just on my way up to the tower. Few neighbors in the way. It’s pretty cool at this tower. I’ve only ever been once before. They’re a lot younger. There’s some little baskets that attach you to wires that take you up and down to do maintenance. We get to the top of here, we’re going to whip back round and head straight down towards the pike. I’ve never done the path in reverse. I’m hoping it’s more fun than actually coming up it. I say stick to the end. So, I’ve got a a cool little run that I found at the weekend, but I’ve come up to record. There we are. Winter. We’re at the top. We’re going to drop down there and yeah, we’ll have a see. Why is it set auto exposure on my freaking camera? Turn that off. H don’t know. There is another couple of paths running off the top of here that I want to do. I think one’s called Sam Marino that drops you down the backside and you head up into Belmont. That’s for another day, I reckon. kind of singing a song. I don’t know. Heat. Heat. Whoa. Oh, my eyes. Very boggy. No, man. H. Oh yeah, I remember this. Cool. Oh god, that takes it out of me. Yeah. No [ __ ] chance. I don’t know. Come on. Oh, turbo nearly got me up. Not quite. Yeah. Okay. Woo. And we’re at the pike. I think that’s one of the uh the longest descents I’ve done. It’s quite fun that. A couple of uh little catch out bits in it. But pretty much we’ve just come from the backside down here down along there. There’s a little house. I think it’s there. Then up to two men, two bros, two whatever. Over the top then to the mast and then down the track. It’s where we are now, which is the pike just up there. I’m not going up there today. Uh going to have a quick minute and then head over to this um sort of off peace trail that we came across on Saturday. I’m gooseed. Tell you what, this Levo is absolutely amazing. 720 what about tree? I think 95 Newton meters just yank you yank you up the steep hills. It is absolutely brilliant. I tell you what’s better though, the view from Riverton Pike. [Applause] Woo. So, we now head down this long boring path. I think it’s called the Belmont something if you look on Trail Fox. Uh but if you head most of the way down this path, you then come to an opening in a fence which I then saw on Google Maps had a path running through it. So we followed it. So that’s where we’re heading now. Going to get over there, have a minute and have a go. pretty much six miles in and riding for about 50 minutes and we’ve come over from the pike that way and currently under them radio there and it is simply this opening in the fence next to a gate. Um, don’t know. Looks like walkers use it a lot. There’s probably a name for this. I don’t [ __ ] know it, but if you do, let me know. Um, and we’ll go and have a see. shin. Oh. Yeah. Time to do some sketchy [ __ ] Jesus. I’m going to [ __ ] be alive. Boom. That’s the fun bit done. Ah, [ __ ] hell. My brakes are boiling. They just burnt me leg. Uh, now we got to cross this little river and it’s a bit of a hiker bike to get out of here and then chuck the bike over a fence which is not fun and it weighs 20 odd kilogram. Get it in walk mode and try and get up the hill. Imagine doing that with a 13-year-old at weekend. It was painfully slow. This bit’s a freaking nightmare. Big ass bike. Big ass fence. No energy. 260 lb Scott would have never done this. And if I’m honest, 200 lb Scott does not want to do this. [ __ ] hell. All right, wrote the [ __ ] bit. A little bit more fun down here. Seems to you [ __ ] Not built for the off piece life. Come on. Nearly nearly did it. Dodge the bridge. [ __ ] hell. Not baby for a fat like this, guys. Don’t know what’s coming up. Oh, come on. So, so slow, so so slow. Yes, they are. Oh [ __ ] [ __ ] nettles can’t break. Moving back down the main road. There’s a little uh fun single track bit just off the side. It bottoming out. Need the [ __ ] Yeah, I need short cranks. There’s some Hulk cranks. I think they’re quite short mine already. Not sure. Let’s find out. Short cranks will benefit this tank. Lots of nettles. Lots of nettles. Lots and lots of nettles. Bye. Right. If you didn’t get this far in the video, drop us a like. Most people only watch a couple of minutes of these things, but it would be appreciated. I was going to do a bit more today, but I’m gooseed. I think it’s probably racking up to about 8 mile. Put a picture on screen at the end of it. Just really wanted to do that single track and it was a lot of fun. See you later.
