This bike has a big history, I'm not sure what all races he competed in with this thing, but he was an incredible 24 hour time trialist (416 was his record). He retired it in '91. He went back this past week and gave it a little revive for me to ride. Not sure what else to say except it's a beauty and I thought you all might appreciate it. Check the green wall tires out, haha. Probably will turn to dust as soon as I put a mile on it, but I'm hoping something similar is available now.

A beauty 😍
Outstanding!
Your dad is one tall rider!
Outstanding!
sick color. looks like it’s in amazing condition.
I bought a used super frame, refreshed the components a smidge, put 25’s on it (fits 28’s) and it feels so good. it’s my fav bike. shaved as much weight as I could on a budget, so it feels real good going up.
A bike to be proud of.
Nice! Looks to be pre-1975 or so. After ’76 “colnago” appeared on the chrome crown fork along with the club that yours has.
Beautiful. And it’s a family heirloom! Never ever get rid of it and give it to your son one day.
This might be my new dream bike. That color is perfect.
Very nice, cool history. The rear brake caliper is open.
The clover can still be seen on Tour de France high tech bikes. That name is a legend in the wonderful world of cycling.
Great vintage ride! I started racing in the very early 80’s , I don’t recall ever seeing one this color. Such great shape too! Tip for you, wrap a couple layers of tape around the down tube just in front of the shifters. I can see a blemish where the front brake has nicked the paint.
I usually hate attempts at tires matching the frame. These greens are so complimentary it is almost breathtakingly good looking through my phone screen.
Kudos!
There’s a corncob freewheel. 42/19 climbing gear, mercy!
Love it! I had a Jade green DeRosa SLX with Record components back in the day! Mad love to the old ones. Steel is real!
Whoaa that looks good. Absolutely sick color 👌👌
Love it! What a cool story and bike.
Freaking mint! Never let this baby go.
Is this bike still available for purchase?
Keep it, maintain it, ride it if you can …
It’s a great one !
Nice ride. Note the champion del mundo strips. As you may know, current world champions are allowed to wear these stripes prominently in competition and former world champions can wear them in trim. Did you bicycles can not incorporate these stripes in bikes to be used in competion until someone rides that brand of bike in their world championship.
Anyway, it looks like the Nuovo or Super Record rear derailleur was replaced with a later Triomphe or Victory. Not a big deal but if you want it to be period correct it should be replaced.
That’s a beauty.
Lovely bike, good history behind it. Keep it safe and pass it on in the future.
