This is the start of week two. Oh, dribble down. You got enough snacks now. I’ve got enough snacks. I wish I could. Have you got a spoon? Yeah. We shouldn’t do rice double mushy. You’re not going to let me eat it. Yeah, but I don’t think it’s ri risk worth taking. Or eating some rice? No. Why? Only takes one little thing, don’t it? And that’s it. Gone. Yeah, but I you know Becky, she makes Becky makes me those homemade rice cakes. can’t remember. Made out of rice. Yeah. In my back pocket on the 24-hour time trial and ate loads of them. Yeah, I appreciate that. But it’s when the rice has been cooked, if it’s left out too long, that’s when it creates the bacteria. But when she cooks them, she leaves them out. She shouldn’t freeze. She shouldn’t shouldn’t freeze them when she’s cooking me. She puts probably puts them in the fridge so it cools them quick. Shouldn’t leave them at room temperature for too long. But I’m just being cautious because you only take one thing and I know you’ve done it loads of times, but is there always that 1% chance that it could make you ill and then that’s it. Then you haven’t stopped. You go to a bakery and some guy around the back baking the bread might have a cold and sneeze all over it. You’ve not seen that and eat that and then Yeah. Well, there’s a much slimmer chance than something going wrong with rice. Rice is always funny in it. Shouldn’t we don’t need to take risk that we don’t need to take. I was looking forward to the rice. I know you were, but after thinking about it, make more jobs for you then cuz I want rice for you tonight. I mean, tonight you’ve got to make some pasta and some rice if you’re not going to let me. That’s fine. I’ll just make a pan of pasta and pan of rice, right? There’s not a risk of pasta, is it? Risk r sea bass in the rice. That sea bass is like 25 quid. We at most of it last night. Spent half our savings on that. 25 fish out of it. Hey, cuz it’s going to have the same stuff on it. cuz it pains me to think that fish is going to waste. Very atmosphering. [Music] I’ve just looked at the stats. Yeah. And you’ve done 2,164K. Yeah. And it’s showing on here that’s exactly 33%. Which is one. Bang on. A third. Oh yeah, baby. A third way through. A third of the way through. Okay. You can see that. That’s exciting, actually. Yeah. But we’re not anywhere near a third of the way through the climbing. So, it’s not about the climbing though. Distance wise, you’ve done loads of distance, which is good. And we’re a third of the way through back to being home to this little baby. Yeah, that’s true. Tasty bell. Can I shut this door? Yes. You got the key? No. I can’t shut it down. You can. Can I have a picture then cuz I’m the third going through it. I can’t Where is the key? Don’t Don’t Kyle. Oh god, that’s scary. Have you got it? Yeah. Scared me then trying to shut at you. I was looking for that. Was in the door. The door. Oh, in the plastic sauce. Right. What’s next you want? Well, I’ve got with me an oat bar, a banana. Yeah. Bear in mind you’ve got like four hours. So lean if you rank. Oh, actually these are really good. Take one of these cuz they really good if you know you struggle at the end. Ow. Spy biting. Ow. I’m bitten again. What else do you want? That’s it. That’s not enough. 1 2 three. Book of mine. You got 4 hours. Yes. And just eaten about 5 hours worth of food. I’ve just had a whole massive wrap, a biscuit, a smoothie, and I’ve already eaten my milkshake. You fill up fill up with calories. Add in extra. Get them wet. Oh, blowing it out. Look at it. I’m going to get sun cream off. Is it? So, I’m worried about that. I don’t know. Don’t think so. I just won’t rub it. It’s the same one we use in Scotland. Get out. Bonjour. Bonjour. Get out. Miji. Oh, that’s right. It was horrible and I keep thinking about it. That’s pleasant thought. It’s very I’ve got the pleasure of going to a supermarket now. Granny pants. Yeah, I know. I heard you. I know you got life a bloody ride. You have I wish I could ride all day. See you getting all my shape. I’ve already made a cherry drink, which is apparently to help aid recovery. Pros do it. So, we thought it’d be a good idea to get Amy doing it. I’ve had the joy of bringing up 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 bags of stuff up one, two, six flights of stairs. Actually got a really good view out of this window. I’m in a place called Chin. Not been here before. I believe it’s a part of Lir the Lir region which we have cycled around here before just not in this particular area I don’t think seems quite a poses like this beautiful bit jealous I’m not riding to be honest she won’t be long so you got enough flat flat jack Are you? Yeah. I’m just putting both on you. Thank you. Yeah. What’s your name? Adrien. Feel really bad now cuz forgot the woman’s name. Um, that’s amazing though, is it? Yeah. Present from some pass by. Oh, that would be quite cool. Phone’s got to go in the back pocket today because it’s might rain. So, you got everything you need. Water, snacks, flapjack, these will be gone. Your bike needs a bit of a rinse down later as well. I was thinking cuz we got the half rest day tomorrow. Should we do full proper bike clean cuz also I was thinking cuz that mint stuff we got sent, we need to get that on the camera too cuz I feel bad. Yeah, cuz they sent us all that stuff. We um and I can’t bear to look at it like this. It’s a good job it has stop raining anyway cuz otherwise I won’t be riding that way. I’m not putting the sham cream on. It’s essential. Why don’t you use some of the stuff that’s in the car rather than wasting that? And then I’m going I wanted to leave here by half 9. What time is it now? What time is it now? Uh it’s uh quart 9. Oh, perfect. What time you want to leave? Half 9 at least half an hour. Going to have to uh get the other one out, surely. Well, Richard’s coming. He’s bringing us some supplies in the other one. We’ve got loads of anyway. We’ve ordered loads of for coming in in 5 days. Worst case, we got Vaseline. As they say in Pon voila. Yeah. Nice and clean. Not a dirty bit on it. It’s salted. Not just not just a runaround. So I do two different types of shape. So this is a recovery shake. So I have oats, cocoa powder, which is a natural cocoa powder that I bought. Apparently very popular in France. Then a scoop of protein whey powder. That’s just natural. And a whole banana. It’s an organic one. Organic. Literally that’s all it is. Just pure whey. Mhm. And then depending on what milk I’ve got. Which milk would you like? Can I have the almond milk, please? Yeah. Depending on what milk I’ve got. If I’m trying to save it, I’ll sometimes do half an hour or whatever. But yeah, then I usually fill this up quite a bit cuz you need not too much. I like it thick though. Oh, it’s going to be really runny. No, you have to have a good shake. That’s going to be really runny. No, it’s not going to be really runny cuz I usually put a little bit more in than that. Bit more ropes to make it thick. Where’s the blending piece? You don’t know. It was on the sh Excuse me. It was on the shaker. That’s concerning me. What? Cuz that was on the shaker that I gave you last night. Yeah. And you seem to think you gave me a shaker back this morning, which I don’t think you did. I did. That’s the shaker there. No, I think that’s the other shaker. Now I’m officially upset. I’m upset. The accommodation last night ruined my system, ruined how I was working, and because I couldn’t clean anything, I left the blending cap on. You made the accommodation. No, Amy, you’ve got to admit it was awkward last night. Yeah, but you and it ruin your system. It’s routine. At the end of every before we leave, you look around everywhere. Everything’s not gone. Everything’s gone. How many time How many places we take now? A lot. Yeah, exactly. And I’ve not forgot that once. The vital thing. No, there’s no point. And I do have a lot of stuff to remember. Kyle, there’s no point me having that shake now because you have to get the protein. No, cuz I need to blend it. So, I’ll save that for tomorrow on the ride. You can save it for the ride. I’ll have it in the morning. Extra protein. That’s annoying. But these things happen. Get a new blender. Same. Right. I’m going to end my video there. It’s been 10 days of riding and we Amy’s had half a rest day today, so it’s g me a chance to catch up on a few bits, wash the bike, etc. Um, so yeah, I’ll give you the stats. Let me just get them up. So get one up. Get one up. The steps, nothing else. I don’t think you got the energy for that. Yeah, you me. I have always got the energy for that. Well, answer that till next year, I think. Yeah. Anyway, so the total mileage has been 2,656.53 km or 1,650.69 mi. So, a lot. And the elevation 7,900 no sorry 79,244 ft and 24,153.57 m. So yeah, it’s been a big 10 days. Um, so yeah, I’ll try and get more behind the scenes footage of the next 10 days. And then the last 10 days I’ve got Amy’s friend joining me, so it’ll make it a bit easier on the recording. Probably get some funny content doing that. So yeah, hope uh hope you enjoyed it and ya.

  5. I have a hunch that doing a You Tube Short on how to make one of those milkshakes might have potential. Not just for cycling but runners, gym goers and more might be interested in it.
