Hi all!
I'm making a route for my first longer trip. I'm planning to leave wednesday or thursday and i'll have around two weeks. I'm going to to cycle through the benelux on a mix of paved and unpaved roads. I'm going to camp during the trip at campgrounds.
I'm starting from Maastricht and follow the Vennbahn route to Troisvierges where i head west towards Belgium. I added cities like La Roche-en-Ardenne and Mirwart and let Komoot make a route between them. I combined a couple other routes i could find to patch things together but Komoot still does large parts of the route making.
Right now it's 761km, 10.590 altitude meters and arouind 40% unpaved. I have no prior expierence with the Altitude meters (being Dutch and all..) so i have no clue if this is too much.
All help, tips or route alterations are welcome, this is the Komoot route.

Should be fun, tire choice for this adventure? (i hope wide and knobby)
Hi! I recently rode through Benelux (started in Schengen and finished in Amsterdam!). Some suggestions:
* Vennbahn is FANTASTIC. We did it in a day because we ran out of time, but a super nice route. We wildcamped just outside Troisvierges on the first night, and it was super beautiful
* There’s a great bike route along the Our and Moselle between Germany and Luxembourg border. Would recommend having a look at this, it’s quite nice and super easy to wildcamp along the way
* As you know being Dutch, there are incredible bike networks everywhere – including the RaVEL network in Belgium. You shouldn’t need big tires for this, but having big tires means you can go on the less well-known tracks that are a little rougher!
* If you want some slightly flatter routes, can recommend going to Schengen in the South of Luxembourg and joining the La Voie Bleu trail which goes along the Saone in France and is super beautiful and nice and flat.
* Enjoy the bakeries!!!
