I’m interested in friction shifters for my new Cannondale Los Dos tandem bike. I asked my local bike shop if this down tube mount would work for friction shifters and they said no. They sold me some thumb shifters and shooed me out the door. Are they correct? After further disassembly in the second photo, it looks a lot like a down tube friction shifter mount. Can anybody help?
