Saw this bike on marketplace and seller is asking for 3.4k CAD. I was able to get him down to 3k. Is this worth it? Should I push for more?

no way in hell i’m paying $3k for a road bike with rim brakes in 2025. zero upgradeability at the high-end.
The Trek Domane SL5 Gen 4 with disc brakes is $3,900 CAD at The Bike Shop. Compare and contrast the 2 and see if $3,000 is reasonable. I can ride a bike with rim brakes (some people are averse to them) so I can ask the seller to lower the price. People averse to rim brakes will ask you to avoid it altogether due to the rim brakes. It’s up to you and if you are comfortable with rim brakes, go for it if the price is right.
ridiculous price there. that’s an old 2018 or so era, domane with dura ace. brandless carbon wheels? lol $200 there.
there’s no more than $1600 in that bike as a whole
😂😂 oh hell no.
Seriously that’s a lot of money for an old rim brake machine. I think it’s quite sus there is no branding of the frame or the wheels. The components mix is already sus as well:
Old dura ace crank released in 2012, ultegra shifters and 105 rear derailleur?
That underlines something is really wrong – looks like a vision build and I cannot exclude the frame is a Chinese counterfeit.
So basically no. Get a disc brake road bike in 2025.
