  1. Rim breaks? Do you plan on testing it out first to make sure the rear fork isnt shot? How about the condition of the front fork? I have a feeling the answers here are gonna be “no” “no way” and “dont do it”.

Try and lower that price. It’s so outdated it’s not even funny, for getting back into mtb I would recommend a cheap hardtail

  3. You should shoot for something made from around 2018 on. This is way outdated in many ways.

That Axel fork was a concerning POS twenty years ago…it shouldn’t be ridden in 2025, and certainly not paid for

Can anyone explain in detail why this mountain bike which is outdated is not a good purchase for $300? Im inexperienced amd not knowledgeable about it. To me it looks like a regular bike

  6. Dude, this is the older version of my first mountain bike from 2008! To say this is an old bike is an understatement!

I bought a minty 1993 rockhopper today for $100 for retro feelz and to convert to a hipster commuter. But no this bike you’re looking at is not worth $300. $50-100 but not for legit trail riding, only for nostalgia. Spend $600 and get something from 2018ish on and you’ll be a good shapre.

Do some research before you spend any money.

This isn’t worth buying at any price, this is what you gift to someone.
