Seems that when you take the panniers off it make contact with that point.
I have emailed Tailfin to ask about it, but it’s the weekend.

I don’t think I’ve ever knocked that area in 2 years of use. Pretty robust though. Pop some black tape if you might risk whacking it again 👍
