We sailed on the lovely Vision of the Seas in 2022 in the Mediterranean.
In this video, we stop at the port of Toulon, France. We get off and take a diy walk around the port and downtown.

well good morning everybody and here we are we’re in two long today and we’ve just got off the wonderful vision of the Seas and just thought i’ give you a quick look at the little arrivals Hall some little local shops uh selling knickknacks and travel Goods Etc and in Information Services give you an idea of how to get around the port and the town and some friendly signage pointing you to taxis the bus tour and the shuttle Bo boat and of course the exit and of course we’re on vision of the Seas and uh one of the midsize ships in the Royal Caribbean Fleet and uh not the biggest but uh a lovely ship nevertheless and we of course are docked in the port for too long so stay [Music] tuned and as you enter the arrivals hall there’s uh very useful information in a variety of different languages English German and Spanish when I in Deutch and English and a very helpful information point where you can gain an insight as to what’s going on around the port and then an indication of where you can get your shuttles and the taxes well good morning Cruise fans and here we are in ton on day three of our 8 day cruise on vision of the Seas and we’re in the port today and as you can see the beautiful vision of the Seas uh very very simple very easy to navigate out of the port and um we just thought we’d give you just an overview of what you can do you can of course get a taxi or you can walk off the uh off the terminal itself um on the left here is a terminal for uh a boat transfer like a boat tour around the port area now there’s a big queue there and it’s €25 sorry $25 recommended by the cruise line um but they don’t come very often it’s about every half an hour every hour they come so there is a queue of people waiting for the next boat to come back uh uh but we are going to take a walk off the port today and try to give you a good idea of what to do and how to do it we’ve elected not to do the boat tour which from a value for money perspective seems just a little bit too steep stay tuned and so it seems quite a nice little Port bit of a marina here small number of boats and a boaty yard um overall quite a nice little port to arrive much better than some of the Industrial type ports that we can arrive in sometimes and just outside the Terminus you can of course can see that little red and white boat is actually the boat that they’re using for this uh Port tour bus tour and a little car parking area and the exit just up the road there and a lovely view of vision of the seas in the port of tul long so welcome back Cruise fans this is rain Su Travel Channel and we look forward to sharing our Port tours and the ship tour of vision of the Seas with you uh when we get back so let us have any questions any comments below and we will gladly answer them and so obviously it’s Sunday today so it could be that we don’t have much open today but we’re going to find that out and we’ll take a bit of a walk out of the port and we’ll see what we can find and another stunning view of vision of the Seas one of our favorite ships albeit she’s a bit small but perfectly formed and over there you can see uh the port shuttle coming in uh it’s about 45 minutes the tour but uh We’ve obviously not elected to do that today and the exit Okay so we’ve uh come out of the port itself and we’re now going to turn right and take a walk into town and so this is L Su and outside the port you can see a really nice information board that gives you information about what is where activities and various things along the road that we’re going to go down so how useful is [Music] that and the port is mingled with uh a residential district and looks quite quite nice quite well kept tree lined walkways Etc somewhere to sit and the main road okay so here we are again and uh we’ve just walked down the road about 700 y 700 M and we’ve arrived at a junction uh uh it’s typically residential and we’re going to continue to walk up the road a little bit and over here is a casino private casino and uh a little Park um so we’ll take a look at that at some point have a little look around there and then on the other side is uh more of a marina with some very nice upscale Yachts uh and uh quite a nice little park and a water feature Etc so we’ve uh arrived a little bit of a residential area and also on the other side like a little market a few shops Etc and across the road we can see the park which we’ll take a look at in a little while and a beautiful backdrop of the mountains in the distance okay so we’re in the little park and uh nice little treelined Avenue and uh a Carousel over the back and sounds like there’s a bit of an event on over here on the left hand side so we’ll have a look at that in a moment uh yeah nice pleasant little park so quite a pleasant little place there is a bit of a music event going over there hopefully we won’t get a copyright strike but uh a lovely backdrop the mountain in the background over the other side of the bay and little areas for the kides to play so some lovely views across the bay and and a bit of a karaoke Type Thing by the sounds of it so be useful to go and have a listen and a bit of a street entertainer a unicyclist and jugler and some dramatic dancing and a lovely set of water features in the gardens and some Street Entertainment with a uh appreciative crowd [Music] and okay so uh here we are now just outside the park and from that entertainment and uh there’s a beautiful Marina here uh well worth taking a look at very picturesque a whole bunch of small boats speedboats sailing Yachts Etc and a very very nice Outlook uh with modern accommodations and slightly busier part of the town so how about that isn’t that nice a lovely Marina with some condo type accommodations and mountains in the background and some more shots of the marina and uh on the right hand side there the brown and silver building is the Mercure Hotel so if you’re planning on coming to spend time in this part of the world then there’s your solution so how lovely is that Marina an absolutely stunning view all brought to you of course by Ray and Sue’s Travel Channel and if you’re liking this sort across to this building here how about that now that’s not something you see every day is it a high wire act across the marina let’s see if I can zoom in for how about that he’s uh very brave there we are there’s your entertainment on this beautiful Sunday morning and I hope you can make out that person in the masts of the tool [Music] ships how good is that and from the other side of the marina here the beautiful site of all of these boats and Yachts and Tool ships with entertainment as well how nice is day so um down from the little Marina there so we just at one of the little side streets and it’s a Sunday of course so there’s not much open but uh very social scene of people coming out and enjoying the Autumn weather and a nice chat and a coffee and so here we are so we’re in the little market area of the town and uh you can see a variety of different produce sellers fruit stores Etc a few shops open as I’ve mentioned it is Sunday today and of course some very useful information with regards to what’s around here how useful is that and a lovely frein Avenue it creates a nice bit of shade for the market Sellers and uh the customers and uh quite an Eclectic mix of various produce for sale a lovely Church Okay so we’ve uh been down into the town today in the Marina and the park and showed you around the uh the port uh and we’re just on our way back in now so we’ve actually been out today and we’ve just done a walk we didn’t need to do anything else we felt and we’re glad we didn’t um so we’re going to get back on board now the Beautiful vision of the seat and uh you may be a be able to see in front of vision there now is the water tour Water Taxi backing out from its uh moing um that’s the 25 trip around the ports and up to tulon and um you know if you want to just go out and uh have a bit of a a boat trip around the uh around the port then that’s what you can do uh otherwise you can do it yourself as we have done and so we just got back into the port now just a quick uh showing of our C pass card and we’re back into the port and the lovely of the Seas and here is the lovely little entrance going to the little terminal here and then off to the ship so that was too long uh we took you downtown we shared with you some ideas in terms of doing little excursions or a walking tour we hope that’s been useful and if it has please consider liking momentos of your trip into too long and here we are we have the beautiful vision of the Seas and the very short walk down to the gang way and the guys here offering a refreshing drink and a a towel which is always welcome so there we are stay tuned and we’re just leaving Port now it’s uh just just after4 to 7: in the evening uh we were planning to go at about 7:00 but uh Captain has decided to leave early and we can see an absolutely fantastic Outlook across the port some uh some great ancient buildings some Modern areas of tulon and a fantastic backdrop of the mountains in the distance so as the captain uh leaves the port we can see vision of the SE getting underway and we hope you’ve enjoyed this content or this port tour today in tulon it’s our first time here and we’ve had a really
