I recently got into biking by commuting to work on a Kona Dew. I think the practicality of it won't me over. I never considered biking as a hobby before, but now… Yea I get it.

I've had my eye out for a cool "do it all" bike for commuting, camping trips, and long rides for fun. When this Soma Wolverine frame popped up on Facebook marketplace, I thought "why not build my own?" I know next to nothing about bike parts, how they impact the ride, or how to assemble them. Here I am, regardless.

Soma Wolverine – v2 or v3, not sure

Chris king Threadless headset – taught me how to install and tighten a star nut properly

Raceface turbine cranks

Envolio N360 CVT IGH with carbon drive belt

DT Swiss TK540 wheels

Schwalbe Land Cruiser 700×35 tires

Shimano hydraulic brakes

Idk guys, is this biking enough? Any tips or criticisms?

Soma makes great frames, so nice pick up to build off.

That being said: Is the rack secured at any point other than the fork end eyelets? I can’t see it being secured to any other mounting points in the pic, and only two mounting points is not enough.

Soma makes great bikes. Got a Speedster and a Double Cross. Did you buy just the frame and build it up?
