This is day two of cycling the length of Britain on a junkyard bike with virtually no money. I start my day riding north out of London following the canal pass. Pretty quickly my bike starts making noises. Oh, that does not sound good. I head to the nearest bike shop where thankfully we’re able to solve the problem with a ton of oil to the bottom bracket. We are back in action, baby. I once again spend no money today as I’m able to survive on yesterday’s leftovers and the bread and jam that I was given the day before. I ride some really beautiful country roads and I start seeing some really beautiful thatched roof houses as well as getting to check out one of the most esteemed and dignified lanes in the country. I get to see some antique planes fly directly overhead and the landscape starts opening up as I’m getting now into farm country. I make it the rest of the way into Cambridge where I’m being hosted by Max and Julia via the hospitality share website warm showers. They sort me out with a great dinner and then I hit the sack. That’s day two done. 790 mi left.

That’s not bikepacking.
