Now that I have your attention. What do y’all say about converting it to tubeless and threadless. I already have the wheels and fork and stem. Just need some new tires and a headset. Straight to jail or what?
Well, the fork will definitely make it more xbike…

I mean, can you even do that? And also I don’t suggest a threaded fork with a threadless set up, you can and I have, but it never seemed right fitting. And tubeless is a personal decision, because you’re going to get people like me who hate tubeless, but you will also get people who love it. What’s wrong with the threaded headset and fork? You can get a threadless adapter to use threadless style stems on quill stem bikes.

Love me some old 3/2.5. Sweet riding stuff. It’s a nice frame but not a museum piece. Have at it. Make it fit you.
I have an old Voodoo of the same recipe. It rides a lot better with a different fork, bar and stem.
Tubeless is the way. But I don’t know roadbikes. Whatever you do put the widest rubber it will safely handle. Your spine likes volume in the tires.
Threadless opens up a lot of possibilities. Like 40 years worth.
