
Hi everyone,
I'm very happy to have finally received my Canyon Grail CF SLX and am looking forward to my first tour as soon as the weather and time permit.
However I noticed that about 1.5cm of the through axle is sticking out past the locking screw, in the front aswell as in the back. Is this intended? It looks like it could cause pretty nasty injuries in an unlucky crash.

That’s weird. Take a look at the product site, it’s not how it’s supposed to look.
What does the axle actually look like?
Those are the quick release axles for the fenders. I see you have the plastic mounts installed as well on the frame and fork. They are passed through the actual thru axle that hold the wheels in place, so you can remove them when you don’t have the fenders installed. I have them as well.
