today we are headed to fryberg a German city that is known for having literal streams running down each street but we’re starting the day in Switzerland and headed to the train station some of them aren’t even locked nothing I can take this right now wow and when we arrived to the station we went to this store that had all of these grab and go pastries kind of like a buffet style casserole setup where you could pay by the weight and then you can just check out by yourself using all these pictures and I seriously think we need to have these at airports like think of when your flight gets delayed and you’re miserable and you’re surviving off of granola bars or like super expensive airport food if we had these you could just go in grab a slice of casserole and I’m just saying that I think like a home-cooked meal would go really far in that type of situation just saying Hell thanksging Switzerland it is let me give you a 360 360 top botom and yeah I was definitely trying to eat at least a croissant a day these were so cheap and such a great [Music] snack I feel like we had just learned the basics of Italian to kind of help us navigate through Italy and German it’s just it’s it’s hard Italian is at least close to English so some of the words are recognizable and they don’t feel so weird in your mouth but like German oh my God and as soon as we stepped off the train this is what we saw J way you’re my favorite color really I think yellow is a great color on Jane way but the next thing we saw were the gutters or the bish b b b and these are basically streams of Ice Cold Spring Water that flow down almost every street in fryberg some are skinny some have platforms or like little Bridges so that you can cross them more easily and a lot of them have these really cute little toy boats or just other random floating things and the legend has it that if you accidentally trip or fall into one of these gutters you will fall in love with a local Fred burger and get married anyway we stopped in a gift shop or two to browse the various German memorabilia but then we got thirsty so I popped into a glorious moer moer it is said as moer a giant German grocery store SL everything store and we promptly lost my mom we lost mom in a German uh oh a German Wall-E world this place is huge and there’s three levels ma it’s kind of like a Macy kind of like a Target Walmart all combin exactly it is called what is it I don’t know but I’m a fan so I’m getting this tote bag M and I just have to say that almost everywhere we went in Europe had an obsession with Pringles like a bunch of different flavors of Pringles huge towering Pringle displays and I have never eaten that many Pringles in my life I tried so many different flavors and they are the superior chip to travel with because their container keeps them from getting squished and I can’t stress this enough but we were there for the museums and the architecture but sometimes it is nice to just go into a normal store see what’s different pick up some new candies some snacks that’s still traveling it’s still cool we were just taking our time wandering over to to the cathedral we’re just following the spear fear spear what am I looking [Music] for and my favorite part is the plants yes as a retired vegetable farmer myself I loved this Market I’m so glad that we were there while it was going on so my sister got the world giantest Juice Box this is my hand for comparison fits a whole hand and I got a healthy question mark Capri on WE what would you rate it 10 out of 10 10 out of 10 C time you’re literally drinking a Capri Sun as an organ is playing in a cathedral yeah there’s just an organ over there look at this anyway this is really good very sweet very good though and you heard right there was an organ playing and this wasn’t my first big giant Cathedral that I had been to at this point in the trip so going to this one while they had live music being played there the music was hitting me in the chest like I don’t even know how to describe it it was amazing [Music] this one so cute look at this one’s too look at this I got my sausage now we just need beer eat it okay oh he wants to a hot dog so cool in there wait look at this dog we met hi sorry um [Music] enle so yeah German is a little bit tougher to learn as you can see but we were trying and I really wanted to try some schnitzel and some spot so we did that and I just really thought the inside of this restaurant was so adorable of course nobody was eating inside I don’t think I had a meal inside of a restaurant the entire two months I was in Europe like it’s always out on the patio or just out in front of the restaurant and at this point we had had our sausage our schnitzel our spotle and now all we needed was beer and a pretzel so we walked up high above the city to a beer [Music] Garden okay here we go I’m not a beer gal here’s your Chaser delicious what’s cheers I’m not a big drinker guys especially not of beer but I tried it and my mom said it was good so it was it was probably good and then we headed back into the town [Music] seriously we went to a museum next where we saw another organ probably my new favorite instrument not going to lie but this Museum had some pretty graphic biblical depic itions um I don’t know not really my type of musum but it was still cool when we hit the streets again we ran into the most unique use of the gutters and that was a fruit store that was chilling their watermelons in the Stream So we stopped inside of that store for a little snack and because it was such a hot day there were so many people out dipping their feet in the gutters enjoying a snack drinking a beer chatting with friends so we joined them and did the same mineus the beer snacky wackies oh my God try go super good and guys that water is ice cold but we were walking a lot so I think it was good for our inflammation it was basically a nice bath for our feet we hopped back on the train and then got a taxi to our hotel who’s tired me that was so fun though who loves Germany me me we crawled into bed we watched some YouTube and that was our day trip to fryberg I loved this town so much we had a great time and next we are headed to Paris so make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss that one thank you guys so much for watching and I’ll see you in the next one bye [Music]

Aloha from Hawaii wow you are in Freiburg nice tour there good job
Nice tour of Freiburg. Just like you Erin I'm not much of a drinker either, but I wouldn't be able to resist a stein of German beer and a pretzel or two. 🍺 🥨🥨
Thanks for posting and don't accidently trip in that gutter. See you in Paris. Hope you're not afraid of heights and you took the elevator up to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
You are not in East Lansing. They don’t need to lock their bikes. Great german pronunciation.
Very Very Very Beautiful Thumbnail Picture Erin 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Also Erin, Congratulations 🎉🎈🎊🍾 On Getting To 50k Subscribers 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾

I’d so fall into that stream.
Gutes video! 😉
Part of traveling/going to another country is going to their convenience store!!
You're a dud, don't do any more videos
Awesome video the whole town looks very nice and the little dog looks just like mine soo cute 🙂
Italian belongs to the Romance language family. English and German, on the other hand, are both Germanic languages. English is therefore actually closer to German than to Italian.😅
Really enjoying your travels!
One of my favourite cities in Europe 💚 been looking forward to this video.
The inside of that restaurant is hella cute and eclectic. Europeans just do al fresco dining better, don't they? Especially in the glorious summer weather 😊
Please make a short of all the different Janeways cousins you saw around Europe on your trip 😁😂 k, thnx bye.
You should try a radler next time its beer mixed with sprite very refreshing or a apfelschorle, its the german drink ever. Alkoholfree and refreshing. Its applejuice with sparkling water.
Love the Moriah Elizabeth cameo at the end (and, y'know, all the cool German stuff)
Your Blogs are better than Car tour or any others
As a German I want to leave a compliment: I love how you look up every German word and try the pronounciation!
I know our language is hard to learn, the grammar as well as the pronounciation. It is only "easy" in case you grew up with it. But you at least TRY! And that is what makes the difference! It doesn't matter how good or close you are, what matters is that you put some effort into it. And that is much more than most strangers do. (Because one usually can get along with English in Germany.) It shows you're open minded and curious, and that is what I adore! ♥
Edit: Don't worry about the beer…..though I am German I hate beer, LOL.
You deserve to be a famous YouTuber
So much skill and talent here and all your content
You could easily be a superstar
Americans are just so interesting 😂 Yes the bikes at the start ARE locked, you can literally see the back wheel locked. Also if you didn’t realize, you visited Germany during the 2024 European football championship. One of the biggest sports events in the entire world
German and English are both Germanic languages.
Italian is a Romance language. However, your free knowledge nugget of today is that, although English and German share the same or similar root words like 'Hand', 'Water/Wasser', 'Sun/Sonne', 'arm', etc, the technical words of a more advanced culture, were borrowed from Latin in English and German had a tendency to derive it's own words.
That's all I got
When you go to the Münster museum (church museum), you have to expect to see biblical images 😜
