Hi peeps,
Today I drove my brand new gravel bike to work. Yesterday I fitted some Btwin SPD hybrid pedals on it, as I cycle also with normal shoes sometimes.
I noticed this peeping noise when taking off from a stoplight and/or when pedaling with more power, mostly on the left side.
The bike has 15km under its belt and is still super clean.
Could the noise be coming from where the pedal is attached? I only noticed this noise after switching the pedals. I will fit the stock pedals tonight to see if the issue stays.
Thanks for any tips

(The sound is there when using the clips side and the flat side without clips, doesnt make a difference)
I doubt it’s the attachment of the pedals to crank arms – even if they’re under-torqued, I can’t imagine that being the sound that would make.
I’m guessing it’s the bearings inside the pedal body/axle. How do they feel when you spin them by hand? Is there a feeling of catching/resistance/grittiness? Could be a bad bearing that only really shows up under load.
