  1. Anytime you but a used carbon bike it can be a roll of the dice. Frame integrity is impossible to truly understand when you didn’t ride the bike yourself.

    Not structural. Just an aero fairing for the fork. Nothing to worry about.

  3. I don’t think it’s a problem as it’s not load bearing. I would use it as a argument to lower the price.

    It was probably not rock chips, which makes me think the seller didn’t own the bike. You are doing something really weird if you get rocks that high up your front wheel. But if you lean it aganst a wall, in the trunk, any minor fall, those flanges will chip. They are structurally completely separate from the actual frame though.

    Also, for anything triathlon bike related, you are better served by asking in a triathlon subreddit. Triathlon / TT bikes have their own ecentricities.

    FYI, the bike looks quite dirty, so I don’t know if it was well maintained. Check how the brakes feel. Those brakes are not good at braking on a good day, especially the rear ones, they might need to be serviced / adjusted.
