Idk about you but I'm feeling great
I got what to me is a dream bicycle, a 1978 original Trek TX 700 road series with the original Campagnolo dropouts and the drilled in Trek emblem
I kinda stripped the hell out of the headset I originally got for the frame so I gave it the treatment, a Chris king headset (never adjusting this one on my own until I get the proper tools)
Still can't skid at all hence the front brake just can't get my legs locked for some reason even at high speed, though I keep trying and sometimes succeed slightly
But I still don't want to ride with a freewheel. I just can't imagine going back to that

Lovely bike
Get a big ol adjustable wrench, I use a 32mm flat headset wrench with the big adjustable on the top nut, it’s also great for oldschool bottom bracket cups if you’re into vintage
Put a set of bullhorns on and a little longer stem get right over the top of the bars , practice skids on gravel or grass until you get the hang and been new to it learn to skid using both legs ,a lot safer and good to have that skill of both legs to stop suddenly, especially if you decide to remove the break
