    DT Swiss recall now also for ARC wheels (Aeroad …) 😔

      Waiting game begins:

      “Dear Customer,

      We confirm receipt of your message regarding the recall of the following DT Swiss wheels.

      Potentially affected are models of the ERC / CRC / HEC series in 35 mm and 45 mm rim heights, marked with a DT Swiss ID of 2750000 or higher.

      If you own such a wheel, please stop using it immediately. Continued use may pose a risk to your health and safety.

      We assure you that your message has been registered. As the situation is still very recent, we are currently unable to provide a final solution.

      However, we are working intensively on a resolution and will proactively contact you in the coming days.

      Came here to post exactly the same. and on the website it says it may take up to 20 business days depending on country.

      I really think the recall process is customer unfriendly and Canyon should have never approved this. How on earth should I be the one responsible for taking off the wheels and taking off everything such as the tyres, brakes, ultegra cassette and then sending them to DT-Swiss.

      Even though I have the 2024 model (late December) and the number matches what they recalled. The specific ID says that neither of my wheels is affected. So, I should be safe I guess (?)

      Is that why they offered the endurace cf slx with 1100 ARC wheels? 😁
      That was actually a steal under normal circumstances

      Did Canyon reach out to the people that bought their bikes that could be affected to check or was this directly from DT Swiss? First I’m hearing about it and I bought my Aeroad this year.

      No reported failures from the ARC series, but they want your wheels back anyway? Make it make sense..
      I have the ARC1100 50mm with 3000km on. No issues.
      I shall wait a bit longer if/when I send them back. This thing will take months and months to sort out.
      And I don’t like the idea of my wheels being stress tested again.
