The seller is asking $350CAD firm.

For some background, my dad was an airline engineer for 34 years and has experience with carbon fibre, and my brother has also done work on university team carbon race cars. I’m curious to know if buying a carbon repair kit online and fixing this myself would be a good idea value-wise. All-in I would be looking at about $500CAD for a repaired Hightower frame, which seems pretty good, no?

The rest of the frame seems to be in great shape, and comes with a nice dropper post. I’m estimating $1500ish CAD for a full build, which again, sounds like a solid deal. Thoughts?

If the damage is limited to the rear triangle, finding a replacement on a site like Pinkbike would probably be more cost-effective and safer.

1500 CAD isn’t going to be enough to put together a decent full build, unless you go for used parts. You’re also going to need to pay for installation tools (think headset, BB, etc.), unless you want to pay a shop to do it for you.
