[Music] Final day of what has been an amazing tour to France. But the usual parade was surely not going to be the character of this grand finale. No, we had to deal with Mon. All jerseys well decided, but a final stage up for grabs and one not necessarily for the fast men. So who would thrive? Some of course celebrating, some taking a bow. Farewell to Gant Thomas, former champion. And hello to the the new the young Lipovitz assured of that white jersey. Green going to Milan. Polka dots belonging to Tally Bugattacha. Respplendant in yellow. Well, not since Bernardino has anyone won in yellow. Could that be a factor today? Well, with Mata’s part as the final circuit, certainly it would open up to those who were happy to go explosive, especially on a day where the rain was coming down. A declared neutralization, four laps from home, would make sure that nothing untoward would happen to those in the general standings. But MMA itself, the sacraur would be a centerpiece of this final day before of course heading back to the shelles itself. Of course, tested during the Olympic Games and right now back with us. Well, the flag waved and of course it was time for us to fate the gladiators. Talip Pagata of course rolling up to the front and it was great to see him in his pomp and the appreciation rain down upon him. Crowds throughout the entire route. A short course time for us to ponder. Those who are great now, those who have been in the past. Well, the usual festivities were done and dusted early on, but 132 kilometers was soon about to pace up. We had of course some hopefuls for the final day and some great results as well, not least the young riders classification jersey going to Floria Leapovitz, a man for the future. Well, it was kind of a halfhearted attempt at the opening climb. There will be four categorized tests along the way. Each class four meaning just one point at the top. So, no change in the polka dot jersey. But Pakatcha seemed to be at ease with himself after a potential of course for showing a little bit of fatigue in the mountains which everyone surely must have carried. Well, they brought him in and he was duly fated into Paris itself. A reminder of just how tough this race can be with the little climbs that would bring us into town. But once on the circuit, as soon as we see the Eiffel Tower, we knew it was down to business. Through the louver, past of course, the iconic pyramids installed by France some years ago. Well, not that many years ago. Telepaga won the first of his four to France victories. Just had to finish the day. Others were thinking about finishing it off. Of course, the green jersey belonging to Jonathan Milan took the intermediate sprint and then all hell broke loose. Quinn Simmons, not the overall combativity award winner. That was Ben Healey certainly got the best teammate award out there. He kicked on joined by Leapovitz and suddenly the pace was very very different. A new complexion. Tipa up towards the four and the first ascent of Mammart itself done in the dry but the rain was to come. Julian Felipe wanted to kick on. Often described well by me anyway as a rocket without a stick. Super flamboyant. He wanted to hear the applause and they roared them over the top. Danny Batcher it was that nailed that mountain point. But the yellow jersey was never far off the front and we were just wondering when this would settle down. If anything it got even more confusing. The rain that had been predicted of course began to fall and that is when we had ourselves a breakaway. This was going to be serious. Trong Shan was issuing blows. Talip catcher himself. The crowd of course we’re going crazy. So were we close at hand. Jorgensson cabinet vanard of visma bike wanted to keep Talipatcha within range. Also there, Bellerini looking good when the final bell told for whom would it be at the very end. This was a select band of brothers that were pushing on. The fast men had been left behind. At least the pure fast men and this was all going to be about a wrestle for the last time of a mart itself. Paga was in there. Vern likewise was on his case. Ballerini there perhaps just for fun, but he had intentions of delivering the day. And then of course on a skittering surface who other than what Vanard genius in these kind of scenarios he kicked on. Could he break Tally Pagatcha? The answer was yes up and over the top. Could Paga get back on forming up a gang trying to close down on this man? He was away 3.4 km to go at 13 seconds. Suddenly became 20. Baga thought about invoking the chase and then quite frankly thought better of it. Jorgensson was on his back wheel. Meanwhile, his teammate while Bernard was up front. Suddenly, it washed over him what he had done. He’s won here, of course, in a bunch. Now, he won solo. One of the rarest of things on the Sea. How magnificent was that? Bang the bars and said, “Thank you very much.” And we didn’t have long to wait before Tally Patcha would cross the line. ballerina it was that came in just behind but it was all about the yellow jersey and of course the man that had done it but ballerina mooric is how they came to finish this race but we all came to fate of course Taliba it’s been an amazing tour to France as I said like a series of classic races day after day after day and the finale was just the same. Farewell to Gite and hello to another win for Talipatcha overall and a fabulous result for Walar himself. Val taking ahead of Valerini, Moric, Pagata, and Jorgus in your top five. Yeah, I mean, um, the rain made it made it quite sketchy, but, um, I managed to stay stay upright and had a full support of my teammates. Um, I really have to thank them to to keep believing in me and to to try over and over again. And even today, uh, they were still still there to support me. So uh yeah, without them we we I couldn’t control this race and now um going to the last climb and leave leave it all out there. It was uh it was our plan and it worked. King of the mountains, of course, Tally Batcha amassing points on the biggest tests naturally brought him polka dots. As far as the green jersey was concerned, it had to go to a fast man surely. And so it proved with Jonathan Milan taking the title quite rightly. add and it bones well for the future. Great battle between Floren Leipovitz and Oscar only. The gap between them a minute and 12. Leapitz lighting it up and warming German hearts as well. And of course the overall. There can only be one winner, but he may well win again and again and again. Four titles to his name. Yeah, just um speechless to to win the four tour to France. Uh yeah, six series in a row on a podium and yeah uh this one feels uh especially amazing and um I’m super proud that uh I can uh wear this yellow jersey. Totally animated what has been an amazing race. We’ll see you next year. I’m Carlton Kirby. It’s been an absolute pleasure.

  1. They really meed to limit stage 21 to the top 10. You can literally just coast in the peleton for 3 weeks, be 3 hours behind the people actually racing, and then go full gas and cross the finish like on stage 21 like you won the whole race.

  2. Always enjoy watching the TDF for entertainment. I honestly don’t take it too seriously nor do I care who wins the OA. Right or wrong, it’s hard to get past the question of doping. I have no favourites and just enjoy each stage winner. Really don’t put too much admiration into the overall winner which is a shame for them if they are clean but there will always be doubt from a good percentage of fans.
Congrats to the commentators and crew who produced all the clips throughout and to all the racers especially.
Over 3,300km in 26 days is quite amazing!

  3. Pog pulled up on the rainy descent while WVA was willing to risk everything for a ceremonial win. Let’s not forget Wout finished about 3.5 HOURS behind Pog. This is almost an entire STAGE. Still, great racing and entertaining and it looked like all the riders enjoyed this stage as well. A real treat in Paris in front of the crowds after 3 weeks of racing.

  4. Great recap, great video, but I do wish the select "top commentators" would think and listen to what they are actually saying, and I would love to know where they do their training. "Ballerini there perhaps just for fun?! – but he had intentions of delivering the day"?! Wout van Aert " could he break taddypogatcha? The answer was yes up and over the top". Could Pogatcha get back on, forming up a gang – "! Our top stage racing pro is of course Tadej Pogačar – "Tadey Po-gatchar" – not "Taddypogatcha". In building a sense of expectation for those who had perhaps not yet seen any of the video of the TDF finish in Paris by asking a question – "could he break "Taddypogachta", and then relieving the commentative suspension by proclaiming "yesupandoverthetop" is an abysmal attempt at sports commentative tension and release. Additionally, Tadej did not "form a gang", he eased back and let the chasing group behind join him after he realised that he couldn't match the power and ferocity of Wout van Aert's attack, and hedged his bets that working with that group of riders would give him a better chance of getting back up to Wout again – which of course didn't pan out that way ( rant over) – Wout was not to be denied, he had saved enough power to be able blast away from the group on the hills of Montmartre and secured a brilliant victory stage win on the cobbles of the Champs-Élysées. Chapeau Wout, Chapeau Tadej, and indeed to all of the competitors who made it such an epic Tour of France 2025. In closing, huge congratulations to Geraint Thomas who as a former Tour winner has given us so much sporting entertainment, and loads to cheer about over the course of his illustrious cycling career – "Diolch a llongyfarchiadau".
