I just did RAGBRAI with a group of retirees. I’m 41 and in my third biking season. I learned very quickly that age has very little advantage compared to decades of cycling experience.
Edit: what I’m saying is these old dudes could drop me in a heartbeat without even trying.

I know a guy who has to be about 75 and his Strava would blow your mind. 19mph average speed in the hills north of Atlanta, 3,300 miles so far this year etc.
