Right now I have a '22 giant stance 2, it's my first bike I got last spring. Just kinda casually looking at other bikes on marketplace, either as a 2nd or a replacement.
Look at picture four. I can’t tell if that’s corrosion or some sort of paint over on some of those attachment points, but I’d be very cautious about that. I think you could get that for under 500 if you talk to him through it. I would check all the bushings/bearings, but as a second bike, it might not be that bad.

I totally would. A good full sus for under 600 is a steal in my book

If anything goes really wrong with that shock, it will not be serviceable, and may be pretty difficult to find a suitable replacement. I worked on one of these a few weeks ago that had a busted lockout lever and blown damper, and there was nothing we could do other than just an air can service. The fork is also beyond Fox’s 10 year service life, so anything other than a lowers service probably won’t be viable.
Same with those brakes too, the levers usually start to feel sticky and will have seal failures, and will need replacement of that happens. Or they could be totally fine, they’re the kind of brake where you want to just run them until they have issues.

Juicy brakes, 2X, corrosion at shock mount, and no dropper post would make it a no for me.
