Montenegro Mountain Madness 2025

Montenegro Mountain Madness is an unsupported, off-road bikepacking event looping around Montenegro.

But more than that, it’s 700 kilometers and over Sixteen thousand meters of elevation gain.

We signed up on a whim, barely looked at the map, and completely underestimated the mountains and the brutal terrain.

We were way out of our comfort zone. It was as stunning and wild as it was tough, kilometers of emptiness and solitude, with a vibe straight out of the former USSR.

The locals, tall and strong, thought we were too skinny and fed us more than we could eat at every stop.

Up here, the mountain people rule. The rough trails we struggled to follow ? That’s just their daily commute.

We really went through hell…but we’re already wondering : what’s the next challenge ?
