Cues RD-U6000 new out of the box. Bent like hell. Box is mint, no other damage or scuff. Is it trash or do they make them like that now? I only ever had 3×8 which was straight.

Yeah that looks awfully off center
Idk abt the build quality tho (majority of shimano derailleurs that I’ve used have been quite bulletproof) but I’d go and contact the seller and possible ask for another one. That looks way too bent

Our shop has been thoroughly unimpressed with cues at all.
Shimano rear derailleurs are never flat. They have been like this for years. It’s to improve the chain line when you’re on the big end of the cassette
Looks fine.
Install it and see if it works
It’s actually on purpose, they all look like that.
It is not bent, there is an angle between the guide pulley and the tension pulley by design
It’s on purpose so the derailleur sticks out less so is less likely to hit something. As long as it doesn’t hit your spokes it’s fine.
I don’t know about Cues as well but my XT doesn’t look like that and I would consider it bent.
Wait until you find out the pulleys are wobbly too
“Shadow”
It’s supposed to be that way
