the way he’s pulled this one off. A guy who’s a very good sprinter, but not a pure one. Can climb, can do so much more. I’m going to reuse a nickname that we know very well. And as he goes under a kilometer to go, King Kaden is going to get a tour stage. And King Kelly will sit with me to talk him over the line. Thanks, Robbie. We’ll hear all of your analysis in the breaker in a moment. And this is for Kaden Groves. We were saying just a while ago that he was going to complete the trilogy. Jonathan informs me he’ll be the 114th rider to win status on all three grand tours once he does it. And he’s going to do it in style. Sean, yes, he’s done it in style. And uh, you know, he’s been doing it all day in style, but this is the the real finish to it. And we see the way, you know, he was, excuse me, he was riding all day. The way he took it, you know, and went alone as a sprinter. This is a real big one. He knows now. The bells ring. They bang the boards, but there’s no sprint finish today. Kaden Groves is going to fulfill a dream. One of those was to just turn up at the tour of France. The other to win a stage, you would imagine he’d do it in a sprint. But even for a sprinter, this is every bike rider’s dream. Racing alone, riding up there, soloing away. a chance to enjoy the moment and becoming a Tour to France stage winner. Emotion across his face, Kadan Groves wins stage 20 of this brilliant tour to France. It’s a third stage for his team. It’s a third stage in terms of winning all Grand Tour stages for him. He’s got several of them across the different ones, but completes the set and now rides home. A rider looking to take points for his team in their fight against relegation. Farmer Brook’s been second before on that day. Helped his mate to win. He’s trying to force more points in the issue here. Can he hold on? Ian Cornwall chas him tried has the finish line in front. It’s an Australian who win. It could well be Dutch cheese in second and third. Another top young rider coming through the development team for picnic Boston. Fonbrook takes second. In takes third. There will be a sprint but it’ll be for fourth. And through the middle you can see Gregoire at home despite the crash bringing it home. That was a crazy crazy stage that was brilliantly won in style and alone by the emotional Kaden Grove. You see exactly what it means to win here. Well, we see this man when uh Yaspa Fson went out of the race, there was a lot of pressure on to try and win in the stages, but he was getting against the FA men. Today, he went out, got into that breakaway, and we see the way he was just so prominent in the breakaway. uh you know pushing it along and then in the final we see there he got himself into the right selection and uh just took the uh took the opportunity when he see you to go alone and what a performance here and over this alter we were saying well the sprinters the punch is going to be difficult day but when you’re on a break this what you can do and yeah he went out and he put in a monster performance a monstrous performance from everyone on the road there to get round another full last day. An average of over 45 km/h once more in the rain. 3,000 m of climbing. And there’s the acknowledgement between those who were first, second, and third. They worked together as teammates all day. From one Queenslander to another, he had a chance, the other won it. And look at that. It’s a wonderful sight. The emotion for the right reasons. Yes. And uh you know at this time at this point in the tour of course as well when it gets late and you have been trying for many days you know opportunities maybe in the sprints and uh other days as well we see Gro trying to filter into the breakaways but never getting really into that uh final in a position where he looked like he could have go for stage win and when it comes so late uh tomorrow of course different stage so for Groves it might be a bit more complicated you know the motions come pouring out and of course yes all three big Of course, when you get when you get that as well, a stage win all of those ones. With it all, it’s normal that the emotions start to really pour. Kaden Groves wins stage 20 of this year’s Tour of France. He beats Frank Fon Brook, Pascal Horn, and a whole host of riders in a day breakaway that took a long, long time to form. It was a fight to get there, a fight to win the stage. A fight won by the man from the eastern side of Australia who wins on the eastern side of France. It’s a 10th Grand Tour stage win for Kaden Groves. It’s his biggest, his first at the tour to France. Seven at the Buenta, two at the Gle and now one here as Owen Ku finishes 345 down. This was the emotional moment of the day. Alpacas winning the first two days. Alpacas winning again on stage 20 with Fonda Pool and Phillips at home. You might have thought that they might not be a factor again and you would have thought wrong. I mean for a sprinter to win alone like that as well. It’s a dream, isn’t it? It is a dream and uh it’s probably better than winning in a sprint unless you beat the big ones like a Millie and a Milan but when you uh get into a breakaway win out of uh you know a very big breakaway and a talented breakaway uh and the win in this diet he did you know go solo in the last kilometers you know then it is a one and the emotions are building as well in the final number of kilometers we see when he called the car there all of that was going on and he knew that you know behind there was no way it they were coming back to him and uh when you get to the finishing line in the last couple of hundred meters we could see the way that he was just roaring crying coming over the line with the emotions just pouring out different type of emotions here Ben O Connor being consoled by his former teammate Oel Bantra because they all know that he’s about to lose the top 10 in the tour to France for now we know tomorrow’s going to be raced Jean Jiga today getting in that move ahead but first it affected the move because he was a passenger they didn’t want threatened their freedom for a while being on there working hard and Schmidt having crashed emptying himself Okconor giving his best as well as the even the fire station’s got a message for us there and they love the tour we all do certainly with the racing it’s given We’ve seen two trilogies completed in this year’s tour. Tim Wellland’s doing it and now a stage win in all grand tours for Kaden Groves. Robbie was saying now his last nine wins all coming at this top level. But we all know that the tour to France means that bit more. And Kaden Groves who’ never even been here until this year has taken it. This is the UAE team Emirates Pelatin led in. Yonas Ving is in there in the King of the Mountains jersey. Floron Lipovitz as well. Big smiles. All smiles for UAE team Emirates. This isn’t quite the normal feeling you get on stage 20 when you know the procession is coming and it’s all done and dusted really. HS Astana want points. Oh, and there’s a crash. There’s a crash. And just as we said, it’s not all done and dusted. Bacha avoids that one. Fernard smiles alongside with him. And in the search for points, in the search for those placings, Mike Turnerson goes away. There is a crash towards the end there. Vigor looking around. He’s alongside Pugacha. He’s alongside Lipovitz. But right is going down there. It just shows that at this tour anything can happen. And we know that tomorrow as Lipovich comes across the line here, things shake of the head. So close. Pat on the back. Things can change at any time. It’s not the usual situation is what I was about to finish saying before that occurred, Sean. But we do think that tomorrow, barring a bizarre point of the race, that treacher will win a fourth

  1. People who didn't race don't understand the emotional overload in the end. It's inconcious nervous system response. Especially for the winners. 100% relatable. Congrats to Kaden!

  2. Right, did anyone else lose the end of the race live stream, with only multi-screen showing. What the heck. Is it legal removing some of the multi shots of the slide crash- by the police van.

  3. Good to see Team UAE ensuring Team Visma a don’t get lose to Pogi.

Yesterday’s stage 19 psychological attack by Team is a was particularly brutal but Pogi is wiser now to their tactics and much stronger though you could see the mental strain had taken its toll.

    All the to Paris now!
