Day 10 of bike packing the perimeter of Britain. Fundraising for Movember. And today’s plan was to ride along the top of Scotland. And as you can see, it did not go to plan from the start. Visited a bike shop, the only one up here. Got back on the road. Um, but yeah, then got stung in the face by a wasp. Just got stung on my lip by a wasp. So that’s going to continue to hurt for a while. I think basically then it just meant I was on the back foot for the whole rest of the day trying to tick off originally 210 km but with me having to get to the bike shop it took it down to about 180 odd km. The route would have been absolutely stunning but I was just in a case of trying to get my head down and get through it as much as I could. A lot of headwinds, a lot of sketchy drivers, but some stunning views as well. The seagull summed up my feeling of how I felt for quite a lot. Found a little chip shop basically and just stocked up on some food. But yeah, absolutely honed it down again pretty much for the whole day. And I finally got to my destination at about 8:15, I think, something like that. And that was it. cooked. [Music]
