Hell yeah, mine looked *exactly* like that. It is truly amazing what orthopedic surgeons can do. Take it easy. Full material strength takes months.

Same injury. Did mine snowboarding feb 24. Had surgery and 9 weeks later discovered my collarbone had not healed. Had to have another surgery, more screws and a bone graft. Only just now feeling like I’m getting strong again.

Hey, the first picture is what my collarbone looks like right now! It’s nice to know what’s probably coming next.
I saw a reference elsewhere to collarbones being like derailleur hangers and that seems right to me.

  5. let… it heal. it will take 4+ months to really feel solid again- broke mine early- still feel its a failure for moving too soon. Has Always felt off, 20+ years now

Oh man, I had kind of the same looking break. Non-surgical, because in Sweden they don’t operate unless it sticks out or is very complex. My break was kind of sharp, so the fracture was diagonal.

I was a bit shocked… Had a huge bulge but doctor was like “Eh it will heal, you’ll just have a bulge”…

I shit you not, the second night I decided I am going to sleep through the night on my stomach. Yes, with the broken clavicle pushing against the mattress. That was probably one of the most painful things I ever did, as I turned around and couldn’t even hold my shoulder up, then puttin the pressure on it.

Either way, woke up with it pretty much flat the next day. 4 weeks later, it’s barely visible unless you literally compare it with the other side.
