Cycle from Stockport to Macclesfield to Knutsford to Warrington

Decent ride today, weather was ok but overall good.

Right, I’m in um Stockport now. Going to cycle to Mlesfield, from Mlesfield to Nford and then Nutford back home. So, it’s going to be around about 47 miles, I think. So, we shall see. I think it’s about 15 mi to Mlesfield and about 15 from Macklesfield to um Nutford and then 17 from Nutsford Hole. So, we’ll see. I wasn’t expecting this. And as you can see, my Garmin is taking me down the um back streets and cycle paths, avoiding that A6. It’s wet and it’s windy. Nothing I can do about it. Yeah. So, I got a little bit of rain and then the spray off the cars and trucks, but it’s not a bad cycle. A is okay. Mind a bit of a climb. So, now we’re coming to the coming to the steep bit. Oh, I hope I’m at the top cuz I’m going that way. I’m in um I’m in Bolington now. Probably about I don’t know about 2 and a half mile now to Michaelfield. I just walked down this section. Not worth getting on and off the bike. Up and over these steps now. Someone’s done a good job of this tree stump. Have a look at this. [Applause] How good is And just like that, I’m in Macklesfield. And it literally cycled from Stockport to Yeah. It’s um you look 15 miles. You’re healthier than you look. Yeah. There’s a couple of hills as well. Um, not disputing that in between. But I couldn’t cycle down that hill and back up. I’d die. Well, you would. Yeah. No, I would cuz I got chronic fatigue. I spent the next few days in bed. Anyway, that’s another story. Yeah. Well done. Then it’s about 15 miles to Nutford and then 17 miles from Nutsford back home. So, no handles on these cups. So, I’ve now left Mlesfield. Um, on my way to Nutford. 7:55. Had a good chat there with that fella. Um, 7:55 for that quason panel chocolate, I think. And a a flat light coffee. I’m going down that way, but not got a clue what this is. Anybody know? There’s nothing written on it. So, I’m in Marley now. Um, just passing through. Just seen this. I don’t know if you can read that. [Music] made out of horseshoes. It’s quite impressive. The Modly Family 1206. Just going through Noxford now and I’ll be heading out the other side for home in Noxford. Time for a banana. About 17 miles to go and that’ll be roughly about 47 milesi I think that’ll have done. Anyway, got to get there first. Well, we got to risk it, haven’t we? This little fella’s following me. Look at it following me. It must be hungry or something. What are you after? What you want? What you want? You want something to eat? Let’s see if I can find you something. I’ve got a bit of a I’ve got a Belvita. I’m going to break a little bit up and give it to the little fella and then hopefully he’ll concentrate on eating it and leave me alone. Right, you eat that and leave me alone. So, that’s the road closed, but I’m going that way. [Applause] Wind is picking up now and it’s in my face. So, this is that one where um in uh I don’t know if it was my last video or the one before I was saying the road will be closed between certain dates. Um, I just spoke to a jogger and he said I should be able to get through if I lift my bike over. So, we’ll um we’ll see if I can. [Music] In fact, there’s a slight gap there. Heat. Heat. Just step across and step across. [Applause] to get out of this bit. Well, that was done. Onwards for me in Stockton here. Cafes are shut. And the pubs are opening. I’m back home now. Um it’s quart to 7 at night. I had a late start in the afternoon. Uh so it was a good ride. Um these are the three routes. I don’t know if you can see them or not, but they’re the three routes. So, I’ve just done basically two 15s and a 17. So, it’s about 47 milesi in total, which I’m happy with.
