Hi!

In this video I hear to the Lake District without any plans or route. The sole purpose was to camp out under the stars and have fun!

If you enjoyed this edit, you can purchase a slice of pizza 🍕 for me here; www.buymeacoffee.com/allenboardman it helps power me through until the next film!

[Music] hi my name is Alan I’ve come to the Lake District to explore my last video showed that pans can change and this video might show that I’ve got no ones whatsoever we just come for uh come up for the weekend just to have a Potter around have a couple of coffees and just make the most of a small weather window it’s been really nice today really warm uh blue skies lots of fol out walking everyone’s just having a nice time so follow me along you where go too I have no idea where I’m [Music] [Music] going [Music] p [Music] did think this was a bit of a useless gate but turns out the foot path is actually closed bit of a fence I like useless Gates it’s a shame that it’s actually closed cuz otherwise that’ be the best useless gate ever a gated off gate I think I found a cheeky little spot for the night don’t really know where I was heading anyway but there’s a nice little flat bit here talked out of the way still broad daylight though a bit crazy to pitch up [Music] now so difficult not to stop at a pum I can’t repeat last time definitely staying an attemp this [Music] time [Music] as tempting as it was the state and that flat piece overlooking Thia decided to push on a bit more hopefully aiming towards mosdale uh which I can just about make out in the distance just uh cutting in these two mountains there it looks a lot brighter then it actually [Music] is so yeah heading that way into the [Music] [Applause] [Music] mountains [Music] [Applause] [Music] Spirits are a lot higher than a couple of weeks ago even though the lights have gone out still having fun still feel good I think the main thing is that I’ve got headphones with me this time listening to bikes or death podcast if you not heard of it get on it it’s red I don’t think I’ve got that much longer until Camp uh heading towards skidor house but maybe not as far if we can find a flat bit in the Stream I’ll be [Music] happy [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so I’ve eventually found somewhere to sleep I’m right in a valley stars are out and and it’s Sublime so nice still so [Music] good [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] morning after a super relaxing night not a breath of wind no rain nothing just cold still quietness it was lovely I’ve packed up left no Trace R number one we’re going to go and find breakfast number two which is rule number two as well heading down into kazak and going to get a bacon or sausage butty maybe both who knows and then I’m thinking about heading back through um Bale Valley um up and over steak pass um down into little landale along um grass Meir and then eventually back to the start which is stavely so yeah um sun’s out again blue skies I’ve looked out this time let’s get [Music] cracking [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Che thanks l [Music] might [Music] he all right that was one of my most favorite cafes in The Lakes Jasper’s so so good sausage and bacon and egg all on a row absolutely devoured it and even had cake as well half t in the morning so it’s obviously cake at so I’m just heading towards Bale Valley now and going to go for up and over steak pass um it’s been some really nice Cloud inversions today really really really beautiful out snow on the tops in the mountains it’s just beautiful few years ago me and Barry G in went up there towards green up Edge about 50 m from the top before we started freezing and then retreated back down where we rode to the bottom and put on all of our warm clothes and called the taxi because my free hood body had [Applause] snapped [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] as you can see I’ve not barely been riding that much it’s always a pushing a shove through this path of Bale or out of Bale and somewhat buggy as well and see steak pass in the distance actually it thought I carry on too far and missed the turn but luckily I haven’t so that means I don’t have to back track but you can just about see where I’m going to be heading up there’s a waterfall goes all the way up to the top of the mountain just about make it in the distance that’s where I’m going right up [Music] there [Music] I’m at the [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Topo [Music] so State passes a push up and a push down as [Music] well I’ve just come from up there down to here and it looks like nothing nothing but it seems to take forever definitely sure people can ride that I can’t beyond [Music] me [Music] so my time the Lakes have come to an end it’s been great not following a roof just so s the general idea of where I wanted to Camp that all went well so thanks for following along as always I’ll see you [Music] again [Music]

  1. Another stunning video with fantastic editing and always look forward to your latest rides. Wish I was young enough again but at 64 years old I don't think I will be having the same adventures as you are, minds willing but the body isn't! 👍

  2. Completely agree with the last post, It’s not getting easier at 71 but I’m just grateful for every morning. If the weather is a bit kind I’m off on my morning walk or a Sunday day out on my eMTB. Thanks for posting this lovely film.

  3. Another fantastic video. Stunning footage and great commentary.
I love just jumping on the bike and following my nose, ends up with a great adventure and usually a climb I wasn’t expecting. This took it a step further, just amazing. Inspired!
