Cube has the overall best spec but doesn’t have a dropper. If you’re willing to eventually upgrade to one it’s the clear winner. Trek is decent if you need a dropper immediately, skip the specialized

I’ve had this for a few weeks now. I’m new too seemed to tick the boxes
I’d go for the Trek Marlin, best parts for the money.

Since you’re in the UK, I’d just wait for a sale on the bizango pro, they usually go on sale for 750 quite often. You can then add a dropper and you’ll still be well under 1000. This would be a much better and more capable bike than the 3 listed, and will have thru axle. Even without a sale that’d be my pick in that budget.
One word of warning, since it’s going to be built by Halfords , check it carefully before riding.

What made you pick these models in particular?
If that count, Trek comes with dropper, the other 2 does not.
Check out the [Norco charger](https://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/cross-country/charger/25-charger-a2/). It’s right at $999 (idk what uk pricing is tbh) and it’s gonna have a thru axel wheels, dropper post, and an air fork.
Get a Polygon Xtrada 5 or 6. Better bang
