Before the pros roll out, meet Phil — the English gentleman tackling the Tour de France Caen time trial… on a 1930s bike.
No gears. No tech. Just grit, a moustache , and questionable brakes.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the 1930s tour to France time trial. A 33 km dash through the noble streets of K and the rolling Normandy countryside. Today we follow Phil, the veteran Englishman riding for a quick more than 21 bends breval Ul Vante. Fresh from the Anju vintage. Watch his video here. He’s arrived just in time. Waste coat pressed, mustache shaved, and raring to go. What’s this? No starting ramp. He’s scooted straight off the key like he’s late for tea. Scandalous scenes. And look at that attire. Some sort of aerodynamic waste coat and a bow tie. I must consult the 1930s rule book immediately. Now we’re off through the heart of Kong. The crowds are cheering.
