probably the thick wall panaracers or ultra dynamico’s in the heavier weight.

tbh, most 650 tires are going to be oriented to comfort with a very few exceptions.

I had Schwalbe G-Ones on my Bombora at one point and never had issues – granted I run tubeless

  3. Mezcals if you want to set it and forget it. Fast enough, grippy enough, last a long time and are pretty tough. You can do 2.1, 2.25 or 2.35.

I run them on long pavement rides, I’ve done centuries on them, singletrack and long gravel rides. I’ve had two punctures over 2500 miles – both thorn related. One was tubeless and sealed immediately, the other was when I had a tube in and that punctured the tube. I’ve beat the hell out of the sidewalls, running like 20psi and hitting sharp rocks and never had an issue. There’s a reason that like 75% of tour divide riders use them, they’re the perfect comfortable mixed terrain wide casing tires.

  4. I was running WTB Byways for years with no major issue. Currently on some UD Cava JFF’s and they roll super well on pavement. Haven’t had a puncture yet, but I’m running them tubeless with the Silca sealant and that stuff seems like it would seal anything.

  5. Panaracer Gravelking? The X1 or EXT have similar tread, and a + version with puncture protection.

I’m pretty happy with the Continental Terra Trail. They roll very quietly on pavement (quieter than Gravelkings), 47mm.

  7. If you ride on dirt anywhere, the homage. Otherwise, gravelkings, parimotos, Rene herse switchback hill, ultradynamico cava jff
