Oh. Oh. Crash. And one rider from Inter Mar has hit the deck. This look like Louis Bar. Bar is down. Tion Abrahamson opens up the gas. He wants the points because he’s the highest place rider in the green jersey competition in this breakaway. Jonas Abrahamson against Matthew Bergau. But it’s going to be Abrahamson who scores the 20 points. And here goes the lead out train with Simony Console. Milan now kicks in the middle. Minim Gay in the wheel. Milan looks around. So Milan takes it from Gay. See what damage they do. If they can get themselves back to the front now. There’s going to be a reset. Quinn Simmons with him. Flicks the elbow. Simmons doesn’t do any work. But here comes Wow. Vanart. Vanart now goes on the move to join up at the front. It’s a little group of riders going clear and Van Outs used this as a good opportunity. Axel has gone from front to back of the Pelaton where there’s a green jersey. He’s been dropped. Green jersey has been dropped. Console now is doing the No, it’s Neil’s doing the pack big crash. Jillian Alfipe is down. Alfalipe has hit the deck. Not happy there. Dicing around at the back of this pelaton. A number of other riders are down. Oh, three riders. Two riders there from uh Grandeers. Carlos Rodriguez is down. Tobias Foss is down. He may well have waited though for Rodriguez. I think he came down as well. They were together. Quinn Simmons. How many hours has he been on the front of this Pelaton today? It could be. There’s a Ward coming up on the front. Well, he’s not interested in this being a bunch sprint. Ward goes on the attack. Two kilometers now from the top. No one follows. Not sure anyone could follow that. He was flying when he went. It’s quite risky in there right now. Seconds. They’re doing well though. They’re holding on the gap. It’s not going to be enough, I think. But uh they’re doing a good job. See the Pelaton really strung out. They are. They’re managing to hold it. Work today. the attack of Yonas Abrahamson as he comes out of that roundabout. Stretches it a little bit more. Matthew Burgdau is able to respond. Alanazis pedalling his way steadily across. 23 seconds for Abrahamson. Can he now ride his way to Valance and win this stage? Standing out in the road here. Alanazi is about to be caught. He looks over his shoulder, sees the cavalry charge. They’re going left and right of the road furniture as the crowd stand out on the road. 1600 meters. Yeah, that’s Jasper Stoven. Stoven has put Milan in a good position now. So, they’ve suddenly got themselves to the front of the race. Go from two lanes into one. And the corners in Oh, massive crash. Oh, crash. And a load of riders hit the deck, including Binium Gay, including the Israel riders. One rider from Picnic and Kayen Groves is held up as well. And here’s the left corner. Left hand turn. A crash mod finish to today’s stage as we get ready. Ballerini’s in position. Lotto start to lead out. Ballerini looking for this victory. Yord is also there. So is Arnold Dele. And now Lotto start the sprint. Big acceleration from Federof as he brings Ballerini to the front. Arnold Dele goes on the left hand side. Paul Penowat is also there getting set is the rider from the picnic post. Then L team two. He starts to sprint. Jonathan Milan gets ready. Milan starts to kick. Honor Deli hits his wheel and they go. Milan is going straight for the line to be challenged by Yordi Mill. But it’s Jonathan Milan who wins the stage. Great. Benium Gay unfortunately is down. He was one of the riders who crashed on the right hand side and so far he’s worried about the shoulder. And then it was Tobias Lint of the Picnic Post NL squad who sprinted instead of Bitner Di there in the mix as well. from the side. It’s a clear win there. Almost a bike length. Half a bike length. Good throw there by uh by Jord Muse. The finish of Ben Gay. Let’s hope he’s okay, but the way he’s holding that arm is not good.

  1. Let's hope all the riders fare well and none is seriously injured. Their bravery to ride under such weather circumstances is enormous!

  2. The tour de france is fast becoming the mockery of cycling. Invest in riders safety or stop the tour before someone ends up KIA.

  3. Question about the timing: On the Le Tour website you can see that all riders are timed with 3h 25' 30'' even on place 164. Only 23 riders beginning at place 131 got an addition of 3' 15'' and up to 5' 24'' . I understand that because of the crash at the end the time is set equal for all riders, but where does those additions come from?

  4. Hydroplaning Smash and Crash.

And……the Tour race bandit brings back memories of the 1972 Summer Games Marathon, when West German student Norbert Sรผdhaus — who was wearing a Team West Germany track uniform — emerged from a crowd of spectators immediately outside Olympiastadion and ran the closing 500m of the race, including a full lap inside the stadium as the "leader".

In that case, he puzzlingly was not stopped by security, exited through an open door/pathway at track level and sadly took away Team USA Frank Shorter's gold medal moment; since fans were hissing/booking the fraudster as Shorter entered the stadium for his final lap.
