Hi there
I'm not an expert on bikes so just wondering if I got a good deal on this.

I believe it's a Cannondale Cujo. Unsure on the year. From what I can see it has Fox shocks, hope brakes, maxis tyres. It rides really nicely.

If anyone can give me some more information on the bike and its spec from what you can see in the photo I would appreciate it. Also if I got a good deal? I paid £500 GBP.

Thanks very much.

  1. Semi old components 27’5+ and qr rear axle make this a nope for me.

But enjoy it, at least it’s a capable bike.

If you are happy with it, that’s the only thing that really matters. As far as the price paid for what the bike is, I’d say it isn’t terrible but it isn’t great. The drive train is obsolete, they have not made mountain bikes with a front derailleur in years. Everything is now 1x (“one bye” is how you say it) which means there is only one front chain ring. Then you’ll have a larger cassette with bigger cogs in the rear. The geometry isn’t modern but also isn’t ancient (mainly looking at heat tube angle). 27.5 tires are still around, it’s good you don’t have 26 inch. The fork, if the seals and everything are in good shape, is pretty good.

Just my 2 pence, as I said if you like it and will ride it that’s what matters. Not what random people like me say on the internet.

Not sure on the year and im not intimately familar w canondale but based on drive train and components id think somewhere around 2018.

500 gbp is about 900 CAD…..i can get a 2022+ well equipped (1x, deore, basic air fork – recon, maybe a Z2) Roscoe, Growler, San Quentin for about 1k CAD….so i would say 300 GBP would have been an ok/good deal.

  4. Overpaid for sure. Hopefully it’s all mechanically sound but it’s yours now so you might as well enjoy it.
Take that top tune bag off and go ride!
