Hey everyone!
I just recently got a new BMX bike as an adult and I’m trying to get back into it. All the local bike shops literally had the cheapest BMX bikes available so I ended up ordering a We The People Reason online and put it together myself.
I’ve only had 1 other BMX bikes and it did not have a free coaster and was much louder when pedaling so I’m not sure if it made this sound but now I’m wondering if I assembled the bike wrong.
This noise only occurs when pedaling on the road, I don’t have a bike stand or anything I could pedal by hand and take a decent video so this is the best I can do. I’ve taken apart the cranks, looked at the bottom bracket and everything is well lubricated so I’m not sure what the issue (if there is one) could be.
Any advice or help is appreciated!
Is this a normal sound for freecoaster?

Sounds like the chain catching the teeth a little off. I would adjust the rear wheel, most likely a little less tension on the chain should do the trick
Hi, this is just the sound of your chain. I assume everything’s completely silent when not pedaling but just cruising? If so, then it’s 100% fine!

I had the same bike and a similar sounding issue.
For me it was the cranks creaking. I hated them anyways and that sound didnt make me trust them more.
Changed to some nicer 48 spline cranks and never had the issue again
Sproket and cog might be too out of plane. Take some spacers out of your crank if you got the space
