Heyhey, I just built a new wheelset and attached a 12x Deore CS-M6100 to my rear wheel. Today I stumbled over this picture and with my cassette there wasn't the marked spacer from above. Even when I watch yt-videos no one assembles this ring. I literally can't find any video with it. So my question is: is this thing pre attached to the cassette already and if not do I need this thing?

Based on what is written in the manual ([here](https://si.shimano.com/en/dm/MACS001/Installation_cassette_sprocket)) only the XTR CS-M9100 cassette requires that spacer.
