Uh well I didn’t expect it to do it back then so yeah why why not do it again but um yeah every race is different and I think uh especially that edition we lost primos in the early stage of the race so uh we were uh a bit more yeah free to to go for uh for stuff like that and uh an opportunity like that uh just came yeah by coincidence. And uh yeah, now it will also be a GC day for the owner, so we’ll see what’s possible. Yes. Same as Yeah, I think so. Yeah, I think uh I think I was also Yeah, I’m climbing good but not exceptional. And to be honest, I I also think in 21 I was not really climbing my uh very very best. It was just uh everything that that came together in that breakaway. But a lot of guys uh killed each other already before the final ascent and there were uh not that many climbers in the in the fun group. So uh yeah like that I had a good chance. Yeah. Uh to be honest it doesn’t feel too too much different. Um yeah, the just the last week before the tour was a bit uh frustrating with with sickness and I think yeah that’s uh that played a role in my performances in the beginning but uh at this point I I actually feel good and uh yeah I think things are going well. Yeah. It comes up to you comes up to uh I think you should first explain me what what was the the real issue because I’m not aware of that. No, yesterday in his interview said that he didn’t understand demonstrated yesterday and that no one was really. Okay. So, it’s just how does itffect? Well, luckily it doesn’t affect me and and I think it’s also not really the group. At least that’s that’s not what I feel. And uh yeah, I think it’s quite funny what what the what the day is saying cuz in the end he it was super clear he also wanted to have well in the breakaway yesterday. So they are actually doing the same thing. And um if I look back to to the situation in the beginning where I think that’s especially what what he meant when Yonas was held up because of the crash. I think it was a really easy solution. We were 25 guys and basically all of these 25 guys they were jumping to get in the breakaway. So if they just went back to the to the pelaton where Yonas actually was then he could have shown real sportsmanship and yeah now he’s complaining about something yeah that that’s not there. We uh we wanted to race for the stage win. Everyone who was there was trying to be in the breakaway. That’s why we were in front of the race. Um so yeah it’s normal that we we and the others keep on doing that. Okay. How many days you see in the last? Yeah. I think uh let’s say the three summit finishes are uh no real chances and the other three stages are kind of a chance maybe. Yeah, I think that of course the two alpine stages are really hard all the way, not only the the the finishing climb, but yeah, the whole stage is is super tough. So, uh yeah, I think there will just be uh a matter of legs and if um if it stays the same like it was in the Pyrenees, we have to be honest, Pogasha was was just yeah stronger and and Yonas couldn’t uh could not make the difference on him. But uh yeah, like I said before, I think doesn’t mean that uh it’s autom automatically the same in in these stages. And I think uh yeah, these are the hardest ones. And there is also a chance to attack from far on. And uh that’s that that’s in my opinion the stages where yeah, the tour can still turn around. Yeah. As crazy as every Okay. Yeah. Yeah. We had two summit finishes now, our proper summit finishes where we where we went down and uh the second one we could go down with the with the gondola which was safe obviously. But the first one on Hotam it was uh really scary in my opinion. Um, for my feeling it it got Yeah, there it got worse than than the years before. the mountain was fully packed and uh what could make uh things a lot safer is that they keep the people standing on the side of the road for let’s say 10 15 more minutes after uh after we are finished because uh when you go down in between the people yeah we we are good bike handlers so that’s risky but it’s not it’s not crazy but we go down actually in between all other cyclists who also want to go down and that makes us really dangerous. Um, it also takes already 30 40 minutes before the groupto passes and until then the police tries their very best to to keep the people where they are and and nobody can really move. But once the the race is finished, everybody starts moving down and that’s makes it really dangerous. So if they maintain the same policy, let’s say for a bit extra time, I think it it would already be a lot safer for us. down. Yeah, especially for the last group, it’s very often a big group. It would be it would make more sense to yeah to group together and and go down and maybe have help from a police motor bike in front of us, stuff like that. Those are all things we we can think about. Um but uh yeah, like it wasn’t hot, it was definitely not safe. It was also really slow to get down the mountain cuz we were hauled up so many times. So um we should really uh think think about a better solution there. at this tour. Are you at the same level as you were at that stage? Uh I I do think so. But uh yeah, until now in this race, I didn’t came to the uh to the point where it was possible uh to do the same. Um yeah, racing has been pretty fast. Uh breakaways never really had a big gap and survivors of the breakaways were also only purest climbers, I would say. So uh yeah, of course it only I only stand a chance if if we get enough uh room from the bunch. And uh yeah, until this point it was never never really like that. Yeah, I would love to. Yeah, of course.

  1. Wat is in Wout geslopen, dit is de Wout niet meer. Nu hij niet meer zo goed is met zijn benen, wil hij de baas spelen met zijn mond.

  2. Visma had already decided strategy & which 2 riders would contest. Those 2 take off regardless of a crash at 15 km or 75km. It was SO early in the stage. All of Visma didn't need to stay back to bring him back into the peloton. Everyone is right. No one is wrong.

  3. WVA being a colossal knob head here as usual, expects their no 1 rival to wait for his team leader that they abandoned 😂😂😂😂😂😂 fk right off

  4. Don’t you just love watching Visma’s self destruction in real time…😂😂

Tadej should have gone back to the peloton to help Jonas?!?!?!? 😅🤣😂😅😂 Wout is preparing for a career in stand up comedy.

  5. What a stupid comment from this knucklehead… it’s shows again that he has absolute no sportsmanship… why just not admit, that his boss, or he decided to leave Jonas behind… this is what the Visma director told earlier in a press conference… (at least he had the balls to admit this)…To blame others and lie, shows clearly what a false character this guy is… and he gets a lot of money, and should be an “idol” for little kids… shame on you wout… Nowadays everything is filmed, everybody saw what happened, Tadej tried to make the race slow, to wait for the others…If some riders decided to not wait, it’s fine (strange for me, for the riders from Visma, but ok), but then stay behind your decision, and don’t blame others like a stupid coward… This is how you make people hate you… too bad…

  6. Visma DS told them to not wait, clearly Jonas is their backup plan now and their main goal is stage win! Imho no one did anything wrong, no reason to keep bringing this back anymore!

  7. This is the reason why Wout isn’t a patch of a rider like MVDP and Tadej. He criticises yet him and campenheart or whatever his name is go on the attack when their leader has crashed. Tadej tried to slow everyone down but he kept attacking. Visma are a team ready to implode. Come on Tadej, whip their asses 👌🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

  8. VISMA was talked up as the strongest team before the Tour, I wonder how much their team paid the Media to talk them up. EAU clearly was the strongest team coming into the race. Wout has struggled this year, Kuss hasnt shown up since he was GIFTED the 2023 Vuelta, Mateo J, doesnt have the legs to Shepard Jonas up all the climbs. VISMA is known to attack their own, 2023 Veulta is 1 example.

  9. So Jonas’ wife is sounding smarter and smarter. This team isn’t there for their leader. Several are there for themselves. Tadej let Campenaerts go up the road. Then he let Wout go up the road. When Jorgensen also attacked then Tadej finally wasn’t having it. I think Wout is just a little salty because Wellands was smarter and stronger than the rest.

  10. Pogacar should mind his own business and stop intervening in other teams tactics. TDF isn't his personal project, he doesn't own the peloton either. So just stfu and do your job which is racing!
